I was thinking today... that yesterday, I had minor surgery on a finger to remove an old man's cyst. And thinking how much money it cost to make the lawyers happy. Had to go to a surgery center for four hours fifteen minutes. One hour of prepping... two hours of sitting there in a bed... 15 minutes worth of surgery and a hour of recovery. (I was fine in 15 minutes.) Then wheeled out in a wheelchair. And we wonder why our insurance rates are so high. Back in the olden days... I could've bitten on a piece of leather... and they would've hacked it out and I would've been done. Ridiculous. I actually had a planters wart burned out of the bottom off my foot in '71. I went in the doctor's office. He gave me a local. He fired up his electrical burner. Made some smoke. Put a band aid on it. And I walked out. No follow up appointment. I survived just fine.
What's interesting is I'm pretty sure the incidence of malpractice has not decreased in the last 4 decades. I remember "tort reform" being a big deal a long time ago and I don't think there's any reason to allow things to swing the other way so far that an injured party is given a cupcake and a Get Well Soon card and told to beat it. But yeah you should take on a bit of risk when you go to the doc.

It's a sad state of affairs but Domino's is the best around. Papa Murphy's has been disappointing every single time I've tried it. Pizza Hut's thin crust is absolute garbage but their regular is par. Domino's $8 carry out with the checkbox ticked "well done" and extra sauce is pretty good. Roasted red peppers, pineapple and mushroom, thanks. Oh and a caesar salad. I may be biased because it's 2 blocks from my house so I can order, get in the car, get out, get back home with a screamin' hot pizza before the first inning is over.
Scott, Scott, Scott. You could walk there...
Of course, your pie could be cold by the time you did your exercise.
I've been thinking about going solo on a large Pizza Hut Meat Lovers all dang day! Haven't had one in 20 years at least. It's not exactly an artisan situation but I don't care. I love being pedestrian where pizza is concerned, lol. I won't, though. I just want to know I could. Probably have turnip greens and cantaloupe. And a decadent dream... TMI?
Just get a small.
I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Know it is in my house.

There's a Hut here, but I don't know how it stays in business. Haven't been to one in at least as long as you have.
Our pizza go-to is now Papa Murphy's take-and-bake. Although a local place makes a 'Grease Bucket' pie that's something special. c.
