And doesn't copper have an issue with freezing in cold climes such as you are in?  After all of this grandiose posing, turns out pvc may be the most reliable plumbing material after all.{#Lol}  I do see the attraction for Pex especially for plumbers; ease of install; ease and quickness of patching leaks, but the damn rodents ruining the party as usual. {#Frustrated}

You get all of that from a teasing advertisement for a book you haven't read ?  I'm impressed !!

I'd think that all Americans would feel the same, regardless. Except they've been told that the bar for acceptable behavior is now set way way low.

I think I've been in 'Merica too long. Visiting other countries (Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, France) has been a breath of fresh air. We are so far behind, culturally. But we pump our fists and chant "Freedom" and "We're number one!" except we're not, not really. We're tolerating idiocy on a lot of levels, saying that educated people are a problem because they're "elite", that people can sponge off the system their whole lives as a way of "making a living", that farmers should be struggling, that votes don't count if you're not white, that we should spend instead of save, that 50 speed internet or chip-based credit cards are some sort of accomplishment (in Paris my 19th century apartment had gig-speed internet for about $40/m), that health care should bankrupt someone, that TV sitcoms are places to learn how to behave with each other...

and I haven't even had my afternoon coffee (which is crap compared to the roadside espresso shops in Italy, where there are small gas stations with men behind a counter waiting to make you a fresh espresso for 1 Euro)...

Don't get so up yourself maaan. Its just a youtube video.  I guess it touched a nerve. OUCH! Lighten up bobblehead!

We can talk about the issues, but you'll find that this isn't the place for insulting each other. Especially when it's done as badly as you just did.

I'm so fugging tired of the internet letting people spout off crap like this, thinking that their superficial college-freshman way of describing the world is the right one. Yes, taxes suck. But this is such a weird, reductionist, naive piece of junk that it shouldn't be out there to cloud legitimate discussion about the need for taxes to fund the support systems we all use and need.

Should everyone describe it your way? By the way...taxes are to deflate the economy, they don't go to services. Governments give budgets to councils to run the cities. The budgets come from the banking system. You disagree? Show me the money trail for the taxes you think go toward services. I'll wailt..
