I didn't believe it either, but I got there. A lot of it was spicy, so that probably contributed (accidentally ordered too many spicy scallop rolls), but I didn't even feel like having desert!  I know, weird.

See, I figure that anything "spicy" is spoiled, like how I imagine that the point behind "East Asian hot" curry is to cover the smell of rancid meat in a society without adequate refrigeration.

So as soon as I see "spicy scallops" or "spicy tuna" I substitute the word "poisonous."

That does happen, but this place doesn't serve anything that's not awesome.  There are lots of things that I enjoy with a little extra kick.   At the mall... well don't eat sushi at the mall (EDIT: says the guy who has eaten oysters out of the back of a van in Mexico - and they were delicious!).

Same as it ever was, time is undefeated.  One's character is not defined by age anymore than ethnicity.

hmmm. Even some of the most positively orientated. It's a sign for sure. The fact is it has ever been handed to the children. But of what, who? Can it be so simple as admitting that all of from where we come need not be thrown out for the sake of the so called future? We are the future. We are the children. We aren't the children of technology for crying out loud. We are human. It need not be accursed.
Why is it that people can't recognize how much becoming a virtual society has cheapened and coarsened human interaction? And hey, guess what, we are paying money and making people rich to put on the circus. Guess what else? The people are us. The circus is us.
Stop hating. Stop thinking about hate. Stop pride in it's bloody footprints and the future that is us that we hand back to the children will be one we don't need to kill for...
humility....admittedly it's a long shot because, well, humans. A both tragic and glorious dichotomy draped in flesh...turn the other cheek and get on with the love...I mean seriously. Evil is a thing. A really hungry thing. Starve it into Oblivion.

or something...

Seriously. So many things are so far out of whack right now. I used to think that a major revolution was a bad thing because of the pain that would be meted out. Now I wonder if that is worse than the long slow allocation that we are all enduring now?  Maybe it's time to rip the band-aid off?

They won't have a choice when it's all shit, will they? Our gift to our children.
