Zero crime here.  I live in about the most demographically evenly mixed community you can imagine; virtually 50-50 white and black.   Everyone is packing........everyone.  This gives our community ownership over racial strife, brings us together whilst heavily armed.   I find it amusing that some here may find that horrifying, but to me horror has always been heavily populated urban centers regardless of ethnicity or geography.  I avoid all large population centers because large groups of people eventually lead to corruption, desperation and potential aggression particularly during times of stress multiplied by the inherent nature of there being lots of people in close quarters, the authorities violent retribution and you have a cocktail for disaster.  Good luck with that.

Let's face it: no matter who is in the Oval office, it is impossible for most members of this site to give up their partisan hackery and seek out any possible common ground.

A reasonable person might think that intelligent people, of any political stripe, would be capable of looking at the policies and actions of a White House occupant, and rather than remain silent, they would acknowledge when they agree with a particular direction, plan or announcement.

Alas, reasonable persons seem few.

I can imagine several reasons for this, with blame falling in many places.

Because it's so much easier for many to mock, ridicule, harangue, blame, stereotype, and personalize the conflict of ideas.  Yes, izzinit?

So resume your day - and do watch out for the pools of cognitive dissonance.
