File this one under coincidences with a question mark.

Go back to 2011, and HP purchases a company called Autonomy for $11B.  Within a year of the sale, HP writes down the value of Autonomy by $8.8B.  HP sues the CEO and CFO for fraud.

In June of this year (2024)... a jury find the CEO and CFO innocent.

On Saturday, the CFO is struck and killed by a carwhile jogging in the UK.

On Monday, the CEO and several others go down on his yacht off Sicily on Monday.  He and his daughter are still missing and presumed dead.

Karma?  Rough week to have made billions selling Autonomy.

i think swanson's secret was that super-tasty, highly addictive, beaver brown msg gravy  (emotional gravy = band name)

you could put that on an old boot and it would be delicious

That reminds me of the scene at the end of "Broadway Danny Rose", where Woody Allen serves all of his "talent" TV dinners (calls it "frozen turkey") on Thanksgiving.  The blind xylophone player complains that the cranberry sauce is dry and one of the other guys tells him he's eating the mashed potatoes.  There's something sad and pathetic about it, but the people are happy.

I better not watch that movie.

I'm in a coffeehouse writing a ghost story about a haunted pub. Just as I'm describing the pub through the eyes of its newest employee and main character, the barista in the coffeehouse says, "It's haunted."

Again secret is too strong a word, it is something he did not go into explicit detail about unless given a reason. Seeing how I am prepping gave him a reason, the information is now freely flowing and we are rockin and rolling!

Perhaps secret was too strong a word, how about you can't talk freely with this to everyone because you will be ridiculed and I always knew he had thought about this just not to this level of detail and knowledge.  He is one of a very short list of people in this world I trust with my life and I have lucked into having a best friend with all of this knowledge.{#Yes}
