If the argument is that there are too many people for the USA to deal with, and it's not about racism or provincialism, it's a reasonable corollary.
And the indications are that it's climate change and overpopulation of the area. This is from a philosophy called Quiverfull.

Shouldn't the people there stop adding to the problem and if they won't, should there be legislation?

New laws are meaningless because they will never be enforced like the present ones we already have.  Trump tried and look what happened.

To think new laws will change anything anymore is an outright lie and anyone who says so is a liar.

We need less laws because most of the ones we have on the books are either bad or just plain archaic.

We need laws that are enforceable.  And that requires discussions and establishing priorities.

But we are not allowed to have discussions anymore.  We just have narratives that are not allowed to be challenged cuz if you do ...

Yeah, your asking to rip up all the laws on the books and start fresh with a 10 page new rule book?
Trump tried, yes. So did the democrats.

Sure, but then there is stuff like this...demands for shelter, healthcare, employment...which seem to trump what an average citizen gets?

https://www.newsweek.com/denve...

While the vast majority of migrants are here to build a better life and contribute to this country, as past migrants have...It seems our current handling of the situation may also be attracting the wrong element...or at least limiting our ability to weed out the wrong element.

It's high time immigration stops being a political football,
and we focus on actual solutions,
create policy that better manages the flow of people to this country,
that doesn't burden our systems.  Good luck with that!?

Yeah, but...

Can someone explain that to the guys with the big trucks that tailgate and then zoom by me going dozens of miles over the speed limit? Are we really a nation of laws, or is it just that we use laws to harass those that we don't approve of? (That's obviously rhetorical.)

Do you really want to create a law that allows 1.8 million illegal unrestricted, unvetted entries per year ? We just added another 10 million and counting illegals during the Biden admin.  We just found out that Biden has flown in 530,000 illegals on direct flights from their countries this year alone. How much is too much for you ?

Its old but the number already admitted is 320,000 as of March.  I just heard the 530,000 number on the tube moments ago.

Report: Biden Has Secretly Flown Over 320,000 Undocumented Immigrants Across The Country

Washington, March 20, 2024

A Freedom Of Information Act request uncovered that the Biden administration has flown at least 320,000 undocumented immigrants into the United States over the past 12 months. The administration however has refused to disclose the origin of these flights or say where the undocumented immigrants were flown to in the United States.

It is number 5 that is the deal breaker.

How can you put into law that you allow up to 5,000 per day to enter illegally ? That would be the law of the land, that we allow 5,000 ILLEGAL ENTRIES per day and that would become part of the law going forward indefinitely ?

The number should be zero as far as making any laws.  Illegal is illegal.

Bad law is bad law and in this case nothing is better than something that allows an illegal activity.
Again, SOMETHING is better than NOTHING. Right now, there is NOTHING because Trump wanted it.
And its not ALLOWING... its APPREHENSION. Do you know Kurt, how many illegal immigrants are held and deported back because they don't qualify for Asylum?
Or that having more BORDER PATROL AGENTS can also apprehend more illegal crossers. So bad laws mean don't bother hiring more cops? No Speed Limits either because they aren't perfect in stopping speeding completely? That's your logic.
