There are those that won't vote for trump, and those that can't imagine not voting for trump. This has always been about the unknown sliver of what's left over. I can't imagine it's a good idea to try an introduce a new candidate now, much less organize the money and come up with a cover story.  And they have about until last week to get it done. In the modern era republicans don't win elections, the democrats lose them.

This is elder abuse. Jill Biden has no shame.  Image capture is from after the debate.  Zero chance of a second Biden-Trump debate.

nukes are absurd... he knows if he uses them it will be game over. They are only useful to scare people who are susceptible to being scared.

Again, I have yet to see the first part, but based on what I did see so far, Biden did better than I thought he could from seeing all of the videos of his bumbling the past year or so.

That said, thinking about Putin and Xi watching, especially Xi, if Taiwan was ever at risk, it certainly is now.  There will never be a better time for XI to act.  Biden would roll over and let Taiwan go the same as Obama let Putin take Crimea.  Putin has got to be thinking that Ukraine will never be easier to finish off while Joe is still in charge.  He can go all in and overwhelm Ukraine regardless to any losses he might take along that way and either win or destroy Ukraine beyond repair which would also be a win for Putin.

This is the weakest I have ever seen the US in my short lifetime.

umm.. Putin already has gone all in. He's got sweet FA hardware left (which is why he went begging to North Korea) and has been trying to "overwhelm Ukraine regardless of any losses" for over three years now. Ukraine doesn't either, for that matter, but slowly the supplies are coming in.  Now is NOT the time to force a settlement on Ukraine that it doesn't want.

I love your written fever dream fantasies...

Manafort and Kilimnik worked on a deal that would have had Trump let Russia take over the Donbas region of Ukraine. Trump's buddy Viktor Orban has stated more than once that Trump will provide no aid to Ukraine if he wins the White House. Biden has repeatedly committed the US to Taiwan in fact and word.

But back to Trump and Ukraine:

https://www.propublica.org/art...

According to the Senate report, Manafort met Kilimnik twice in person while working on the Trump campaign, messaged with him electronically and shared “sensitive campaign polling data” with him.

Senate investigators wrote in their report that they suspected Kilimnik served as “a channel for coordination” on the Russian military intelligence operation to hack into Democratic emails and leak them.

The Senate intel report notes that in about a dozen interviews with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, Manafort “lied consistently” about “one issue in particular: his interactions with Kilimnik.”

Manafort’s attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Manafort didn’t make it to Election Day on the Trump campaign. In August 2016, The New York Times revealed that handwritten ledgers recovered from Yanukovych’s estate showed nearly $13 million in previously undisclosed payments to Manafort from Yanukovych and his pro-Russian party. Manafort was pushed out of his job as Trump’s campaign chairman less than a week later.

After Trump won the election, the Senate report says, Manafort and Kilimnik worked together on a proposed “plan” for Ukraine that would create an Autonomous Republic of Donbas in separatist-run southeast Ukraine, on the Russian border. Manafort went so far as to work with a pollster on a survey on public attitudes to Yanukovych, the deposed president. The plan only would need a “wink” from the new U.S. president, Kilimnik wrote to Manafort in an email.

Manafort continued to work on the “plan” even after he had been indicted on charges of bank fraud and conspiracy, according to the Senate report. It’s not clear what became of the effort, if anything.

See also https://www.nbcnews.com/politi...   for more cooperation between Trump's campaign and Russia, Russia, Russia—which you keep pretending never happened.

So sorry about the copy and paste FACT BOMB, Kurt. But you can't live in a world of lies all the time.

Put up Gavin Newsom. He crushed Ron De Santis in their "debate" during the GOP primaries.

But, but, Biden "has a cold" ...

with a full tilt schedule the next 3 days. Ok.

I woke up around 10 and saw the rest from that point.  I have it on DVR and will see the whole thing tomorrow.

What I was thinking when I began watching is that Joe had a full 7 days of prep going in and Trump had none.  That was my perspective.

From what I have heard in the post game is that Joe had a dreadful start which probably caused a lot of people to turn it off and say game over.

The CNN moderators seemed reasonable from the point I started watching.  It will be interesting watching the whole thing from the beginning.
