Bleh. Not everyone is Christian, Dude. You are certainly closed minded. Where did you ever get the idea that Christians are entitled to all that. Religion should be private for the people who are practicing. Don't shove your beliefs down my throat.

Ah, but what if the nativity scene is provided with private funding? You want to put that on the lawn at city hall, that's okay. As long as  you also allow the Kwanzaa and menorah and a small scale model of Stonehenge and a blinky-light representation of Bob Marley smokin' a giant sparkly one out there too.

Perhaps you should contact Obama and ask him why he's still allowing Christmas Trees at the White House, eh ?

I'm surprised the ACLU hasn't filed suit to stop that yet.

If we can have Christmas and not F**king x-mas, trees in the White House, then we should sure as hell be allowed to have Nativity scenes and the like on town squares and other public property like we have for hundreds of years in this country.

Y'all act like its never been done before.  Get over it, its been going on for a long, long time here.

Well, that of course makes it right.

For those of us who don't celebrate, it's highly uncomfortable, and my tax dollars are paying for it.

A suburb near us had a memorial to vets that was an eternal flame guarded by a big ass cross. They were sued, and the town removed the cross and replaced it with a memorial that was much more appropriate, and inclusive.

Last week, if you recall, Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Okla) had some emotions because of that time he could no longer participate in a Tulsa parade because they had named it the "Holiday Parade Of Lights." This forced Inhofe into a position where he would have had to validate other holidays of other people who practice other religious faiths. Despite the fact that the parade remained Christmased-out to the max, and had always welcomed Tulsans of all stripes to celebrate their particular holidays, Inhofe had to travel almost fifteen miles in order to find a parade that had the name "Christmas" in it in order to ride his horsey, which is some of the worst religious persecution ever meted out to humans.

Per Alex Seitz-Wald at Think Progress, Inhofe went on Fox and Friends this morning to continue to have emotions over this minor inconvenience he forced himself to face for no good reason:

CARLSON: So, what you're saying is, that it's not like you're not tolerant of other religions. ... What you're saying is — what a lot of people are saying in our society right now — which is if we're supposed to be tolerate of all these other religions, which pretty much everyone accepts, why does it always seem like Christianity is the one to take the boot?

INHOFE: They're the ones to get the hit. ... I think there are a lot people of other faiths who wonder also, why do they always pick on the Christians?

There can be no doubt that Inhofe's personal struggles do not in any way cheapen the suffering of other Christians, such as, say...the congregants of the Our Lady of Salvation Church of Baghdad — which was attacked by terrorists just over a month ago. Right? I mean, Christians are so terribly picked on, in America. Next you'll be telling me that Christians aren't allowed to worship in some parts of Lower Manhattan, or something.

Some of the Faithful are trying to put a positive spin on this episode - Harris was just trying a publicity stunt to focus attention on Congressional health care benefits.  That theory blows up when you consider his comment that the private sector offers insurance immediately.  He's saying that the private sector coverage - at least to professionals - is better than Congress'.
