Nope.  You would think so.  On the other hand, isn't it cute when they try and have it both ways ?

Yep. Remember Kennedy: “we go to the moon not because it is easy, but because it is hard.”

The culture has devolved from the pursuit of greatness and happiness to the selfishness of capitalism. Why? Because people are unsure. If they didn’t have to worry that others having health care and education and food and housing meant that they would be forced to do without those things, then there would be less fighting about giving those things to others. And then they can move on to other things.

The failure of our leaders to work together to provide for everyone (and that means sacrificing some golden idols like military spending) means that their constituents are having to home school, to use GoFundMe for health care costs, and living on the streets because they can’t afford homes. This is a primary failure of our government - while they argue about Dr. Seuss.

Well the bit about the great recession is nonsense. That was directly attributed to clinton tearing up glass steagall.
So we had Bush II destroy our global position, and open the pandora's box of mid-east terrorism. Obama didnt fix any of that...
Not sure why, but Obama was ineffectual and could have done so much more for the country, given the broad support he had. Probably b/c he jammed through ACA, without any GOP support, and half the country against it. Don't get me wrong, i believe in universal healthcare, but not ACA.
And of course the republicans did destroy the one piece of the legislation that might have actually allowed it to work - individual mandate.
But I can't see how anyone could argue either party over the past decade has provided anything of a roadmap for the country's future...unless that future is simply prop up consumer spending on trinkets.

The car was already off the road and on the shoulder and then it started pouring virus-soaked rain. Half the drivers refused to turn on their wipers.

And oh, boo hoo, Biden didn’t meet the Republicans’ expectations.

So the country was going to hell in a bucket...and what are we doing about it?
I suppose if you don't believe in fiscal responsibility, then  throwing trillions of $ out the window is a plan.
I don't see how democratic leadership has provided any solutions. Maybe at best they stopped the slide. Certainly haven't done much to bring the country together.
And thank goodness for the two democrats who actually seem to have enough marbles to stop the runaway, partisan nonsense.
Didn't Manchin's approval rating shoot up? Does that mean anything?
We need more folks on both sides willing to remove themselves from the tyranny of their own parties, for the good of the country.

But while Biden did not have much success on resetting the direction of his administration, here are five reasons why Biden's presidency has gone so poorly and was likely doomed from the very beginning. 1) Biden can't admit when he is wrong and blames everyone else when things go south. 2) Biden made a corrupt bargain with the radical left and surrendered his presidency to them before it even started. 3) Biden's campaign was built on lies. 4) Biden's "Mr. Nice guy" persona has been revealed as the sham it always was. 5) Biden is an incompetent leader, and has always been regarded as such by those around him.

There’s no way to speak for the others, but it seems to me that it’s more grown up to review actual facts like: did he appoint one or more of his children to White House staff?
Did he meet with our enemies in Russia and North Korea and then speak highly of them?
Did he file for bankruptcy?
Six times
Did he have to pay off a woman while having an affair with his then-pregnant third wife?
And, when the nation’s Capitol was under attack did he sit on his ass watching it on TV instead of acting?

See, those are factual things that can help us understand the quality of a person sitting in the President’s big boy chair, not this idle “everybody hates him; they’re all saying it.”

Put hardened career criminals in jail for extended periods and fix our broken penitentiary network. Keep first time criminals away from career criminals. Inflation might be part of it.   As you imply, Biden is not responsible for ramping up inflation rates, and even the FED is not entirely responsible though it failed to start tightening monetary policy in early 2021 and that certainly contributed to these higher inflation rates. The pandemic is largely responsible for the higher measured rates of inflation.

The pandemic is taking a toll on political leaders in many countries.   That started before inflation shot up.

The other reason for Biden's unpopularity is high fuel costs.   By early 2023,  inflation could easily subside to the mid- 2% range but I fully expect oil prices to remain high.
