I stand there silent
Your hair a halo in the water
Ribbons in the slipstream
Two ships eclipsed in the harbour
Your body 's moving strange
Left by the waves to sink
Your milky skin, your blue veins

I never told your mother
I kept my silence
I left you drifting to fall off the edge
Of the horizon

We're only passing through
Keeping on the move
Surrendered to such weathered scenes
Whatever was, whatever will be
Don't you keep me here
Just to have to watch you leave
Oh how we grew entwined
You gave me your name
I gave you mine

I never told your mother
I kept my silence
I left you drifting to fall off the edge
Of the horizon

I never told your mother
I kept my silence
I left you drifting to fall off the edge
Of the horizon

Icelandic women are customarily named after their father. In this case Davids  Dottir (Daughter). Feminist can now fume away quietly.

Have enjoyed a fair amount of Emilíana's output - mostly her 'Love in the Time of Science' and 'Fisherman's Woman' albums, and liked that 'Home' track a lot too - good to hear she's still knocking out the tunes.👍

I like her 2008 album 'Me And Armini' a lot. For me, the earlier albums feel like she was building up to that one.

Better than that lame cover of White Rabbit that we get on occasion here, but that doesn't say a whole bunch...

(cute scarf though....)

Nice.  Hopefully it climbs above 5.9 quickly, if only for her voice.

geez, it was played once already today and again now. i don't like it enough to hear that frequently in the mix. maybe a 3.
