I wouldn't normally listen to this but where else might the musically curious get such a wide tasting menu of the extraordinary diversity of music-making.  I'm giving it an 8 because it's ... well, to my ears, rather nicely weird.
Sad seeing that 5.8 rating.  We must be getting a lot of younger kids in here looking for Adele and Rosalia.
No Wikipedia page and I reckon, good on her. First time (Sept'23) I've heard this tune and she's done a good job.
Seems she's spent the summer sailing with her husband (as renowned French violinist) around Scotland, the Orkneys, Shetlands and Faroes, performing at small festivals on the way.
Superb... sharing her music without succumbing to the temptations and tribulations of fame.

Restart (Adkrog)

Murmur murmur
Tell me my fate
Hum hum
Sing your psalm

Stupor
Hit me
Sensation
Grow within me

My sap
Dries out
As melts
My strength
My sap
Dries out
And death is inevitable

damn, that's quite dark. not for me.

Just out of curiosity: do you folks speak/understand Breton in Québec?

Too bad she's already taken--married to Yann Tiersen, who composed the music for Amélie.
She is definitely my type
Summ, summ, summ, Christkind summ herum!
QUINQUIS?!
Probably they don't know what Quinqui means in Spanish...
I enjoy this song but for me it always triggers the thought of an Orc march from the LOTR movies.
Strange
Cool
Exactly why I listen to RP
Thanks again guys
Is that background created by blowing into a microphone?
Kept waiting for the tempo to kick in and start getting after it...seemed like it should...but then nothing.  Expectations not met.  Sad face.

With a late 60's into 70's Sci Fi cover art

Breton: a French regional
Her voice reminds me of Beth Gibbons from Portishead, and the lyrics remind me of early Cocteau Twins (in that I have no idea what she's singing, but I'm OK with it).

Wow, me likee mucho. Hard to get more eclectic that this. She is certainly pushing the edge of the envelope.
QUINQUIS [pronounced kɛ̃kis]

(aka Émilie Tiersen) – is a multidisciplinary Breton artist. Over two albums and several years Émilie recorded and released under the name 'Tiny Feet' but the recent name change, which pays homage to her personal and family history by referencing her maiden name, represents a fresh start musically.

The first track released, ‘Adkrog’ – which aptly translates as ‘Start Again’ -showcases QUINQUIS’ soothing yet unpredictable pulsations, feeling as though a new world is awakening and working out its newfound surroundings. “It’s about finding the energy in environment and nature,” she explains. “When I was feeling desperate, I sat outside and I prayed for nature to give me some answers. This song is about that – if you just let go then nature gives you an answer.”

She's collaborating with producer and artist Gareth Jones (Sunroof, Liars, Depeche Mode and Apparat) and also touring in Europe with collaborator, husband and labelmate Yann Tiersen
