I can hear you rattling your window
I can hear you playing up the pane
Even though you never leave your bedroom anymore
I can hear you all the same
All the same
All the same
All the same
All the same

As hard as I try, you still can't look me in the eye
After all this time, only you know the reason why
Well, they say you're shy and you get caught on the inside
Come on, come out, there's so much light

But there ain't much time

I can hear you crackin' off a windpipe
And the silence last for days
Then I see you coming round again
'Cause nothing ever lasts for every minute of the day
Last the day
Last the day
Last the day
Last the day

As hard as I try, you still can't look me in the eye
After all this time, only you know why
They say you're shy and you get caught on the inside
Come on, come out, there's so much light
But there ain't much time
No, there ain't much time
No, no, there ain't much time

Boy, if you knew the nights I'd stayed up thinking and crying over you
But I sit back and I say, "what can I do?"
Come on, let me in and gimme a clue
But you gotta do what you wanna do

As hard as I try, you still can't look me in the eye
After all this time, after all this time
They say you're shy and you get caught on the inside
Come on, come out, there's so much light
But there ain't much time
Oh no, there ain't much time
No, now there ain't much time

They had me at French Horn...

Different speeling = different word = different language. Portuguese is not Spanish 😤

In Spanish "Fe" would have no accent, in portuguese it does.

What a beautiful song!
Sheer beauty expressed in sound.

Buy this album. Best $15 you will ever spend.
I gotta say, this makes me cry, in a weird way that means I'll probably understand later, if at all. The arrangement, etc. is impeccable. Love it more each time!
This is simply lovely! Every time I hear it I like it a little more!

Not bad, but not deserving more than a 6 here.

Not deserving *from you*, perhaps.

Yes we need a repeat button Bill!!!! Love me this tune!!

Looks like it is up to a hefty 7 and moving toward 8. Well deserved.
More french horn!
Always makes me happy when I hear it come on.

I agree with other comments, shades of Fleetwood Mac, War on Drugs, Chris Isaak, many of my favorite artists, but not in anyway derivative. (whatever that means)

It immediately reminded me of the The Mutton Birds. For me, that's a good thing.
This little sucker plods along in an unobstrusive way, then the outro kicks in.
Horn & guitar take this up another notch.
Not bad, but not deserving more than a 6 here.

Talk about can't explain, I was just now sitting here thinking "I don't really like this kind of music" while at the same time thinking "this is a pretty good song."
I agree with other comments, shades of Fleetwood Mac, War on Drugs, Chris Isaak, many of my favorite artists, but not in anyway derivative. (whatever that means)
I hear a bits of Orbison here.
I am so looking forward to seeing this group in person.
Lovely.
Wonderful song. Thanks Bill and Rebecca. Would never have heard this without you.

like Bombay Sapphire - none of that  'vodka martini crap' - hahaha who needs to explain anything?
Weak lyrics, typical cheese of interpersonal relationships...6
This song is so simple and reminds me of someone when I hear it.
Some songs are just good. Can't always explain why. They just are
just bumped it up to 7 from 5

I'd agree...heard it a few time before (on RP)...this time it really grabbed me - so an 8 from me to start and next time I'll listen to the lyrics and see if it goes up a notch
This song has a really nice, interesting musical buildup, especially after the vocals finish.
Nice song.

Interesting band title.  Spanish speakers would never come up with that name.

Nice tune. But one of the lyrics bothers me. Instead of: "As hard as I try, you still can't look me in the eye," shouldn't it be, "As hard as YOU try, you still can't look me in the eye?" Or maybe, "As hard as I try, I still can't look you in the eye." Because no matter what YOU do, it shouldn't affect what the other person would do, right? I mean, is what the singer doing supposed to change what the other person...

Oh, crap. Never mind. I'm nearly late for my Nitpickers Anonymous meeting...

Ha!, well, I take it to mean that in spite of whatever the singer does, the other person still can't look em in the eye, and that is the futility of the situation...actually quite brilliant, IMHO...
8 -> 9
great song..
Now a SOLID "9".. Awesome
Interesting! No wait, the other thing -- tedious.

Damn, what a great song. And an RP discovery for me.
Jets Overhead
One of a few artists I’ve discovered on RP. Man, I love this song, love how it makes me feel on a quiet winter morning.
The phrasing on this song is special.
Very nice!

I watched a number of videos of Ten Fe this week... would really like to see them in person. Here's to 2021!

I agree, with an eighties vibe to it. Good stuff.
As a past french horn player, that made the song for me right there. But it was interesting to begin with.
wow, don't know what this song is actually referring to, but it resonates with me. Spent 12 years of my life with someone caught up in their own fears and in the end, I think I only made it worse, despite everything.  uff. takes the air right out of me.

Yes i think that they are french horns and it's  beautiful.
Love french horns.  Always reminds me of one of my favorite pieces from childhood "Peter & the Wolf" which had prominent french horns.

Such a beautiful song, alas lost in the production. At the end it gets flat out ridiculous when the trumpet starts in. They obviously go for a The War On Drugs-like built-up finale but for me it doesn't work at all.
This beautiful song deserves a quiet accoustic recording.
I can hear you windin' off a crackpipe

 Positive vibes=Positive attitudes
Love it!

So many points for the French horn solo
More Ten Fe Bill (pleeeeeeease)
Notching up to a 9.
Now moved from a 7 to 8, and it could go higher! Really nice, melodic, upbeat tune.
Hearing  The War On Drugs...
First time i heard it gave it a 5 but it is going to rise
The bio blurb says they started by busking in the London Subway.  Respect for anyone who takes their act public to the masses like that.  Instant feedback.   Which probably figures to be mostly indifference, being gobbed at and when you get it right, a few coins.
Sure isn't edgy, but we have people for that. It's a solid middle of the road effort and   that's it's own accomplishment.  7 from here.

Absolutely brilliant song... feels like it could go on forever with that soothing pace. Just beautiful.
Props to everyone who actually gave Ten Fe a 10 (heh heh). I could only get to 7, but it's a well-deserved 7.
More Ten Fe please, Bill.
For me, a Chris Isaak "flavor" to this song. I don't mean derivative or "bad" by any means...   Nice tune.
Thank you RP.

moved from 8 to 9. Bill, can we hear more from these guys!?

My first listen and it's a 9er.Great lyrics vocals composition
Oh thank you Bill and Rebecca! I put this formidable song on my submissions. One of my favorites of 2019 without a doubt.
Something reminds me of Broken Social Scene. I like it.
suffers a little from a bad mix job the sound is muffled a tad
This song got me to finally register, so it has to be pretty good.
This is a delight of a lovely song. Just the kind of song RP would intro for us.

It's "pleasant" and that's about it for me
Just wanted to be first comment.  So far this song is average.
