I had a vision tonight that the world was ending.
And the sky was falling and time was bending.
I watched the heavens collide right before my eyes.

What if the world dies with the sunrise?
Baby it's all right we'll be up all night
What if we're unmade when the stars fade?
Keep me going 'til the night turns into the day.

I had a visitor come from the great beyond.
Telling me our time in the world is done,
and to watch for a sign in the midnight sky.

What if the world dies with the sunrise?
Baby it's all right we'll be up all night
What if we're unmade when the stars fade?
Keep me going 'til the night turns into the day.

What if the world dies with the sunrise?
Baby it's all right we'll be up all night
What if we're unmade when the stars fade?
Keep me going 'til the night turns into the day.

We wait for the sunrise.
We watch as the world dies.
We howl in the moonlight.
When the World Ender comes, baby don't close your eyes.
We wait for the sunrise.
We wait for the sunrise.

I had a vision tonight that the world was ending
Yeah the sky was falling and time was bending
We spent our last night in the moonlight
Baby it's so bright we'll be up all night.
I got a helluva view for the end of the world
I've got a bottle of booze and a beautiful girl.
If I'm a'goin to die I'm gonna go in style.

Keep me going 'til the night turns into the day...

RP introduced me to this band. So great!
More Lord Huron!!!
7 for the music, 8 for the lyrics. Long live Lord Huron.
Interesting that six years later (October 17 2023) we got Lord Huron, Squeeze, and Hey Rosetta but in a different order, with Squeeze ending the set.  No Syntax though.

Skipped the previous two songs to get to this gem!
Amazing song
Keep me goin'
I like the energy, I'm ok with the 'jangly' instruments, not so hot on the echoed vocals. I know it's their 'sound', and I respect that. Just sounds a bit hollow to my ears.
From Elvis Costello to this? The sounds are alike. And I like it.

Lord Huron - wasn't he one of the authors of the Port Huron statement?  The original Port Huron statement.  Not the compromised second draft.

You're thinking of Tom Hayden...

Greatgreat segue from Levellers' "Four Winds" to this.
New stuff coming soon
I second this. I love this album so much I ran out and got it on vinyl.

Isn't the cover art a guy standing in front of a prehistoric diorama?

Ah yes, just turned on..... This old tune again

Yawn
This song reminds me of a mash-up of Big Country, Vampire Weekend, and Local Natives.
It sounds as if the song has a 2/3 clave rhythm..  or something close to it.

Which is rare for a song which is not salsa.

It's nice.
Met these guys a few years ago at Gasparilla Music Festival. Really nice guys. Funny -they were on main stage and Dawes was on a side stage.
Lord Huron - wasn't he one of the authors of the Port Huron statement?  The original Port Huron statement.  Not the compromised second draft.
Another seamless segue from Beck - Dreams. It took a while before I realized it was a different song.
From what I've listened to, a lot of their songs sound VERY similar. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just saying.

              Vision mizin
                Ha ha ha
I was trying to see her face.
Maybe it's the thrill of being the first to rate it, but I keep bumping it up.
There's been a few of Lord Huron's songs popping up here, and I'll all for it. More, more!
ANOTHER GREAT SONG FROM THIS OUTSTANDING CD ! THANKS BILL KEEP EM COMING NOT A BAD TRACK ON THE WHOLE CD / GOT A HECK OF BEEF WITH THE END OF THE WORLD
