I walk to the river,
Waiting to hear the water sing
I sit down beside her,
Trying to hear the quiet ring

The leaves break the falling of the sunlight that covers these banks
I've seen the water running, I've seen the color wash away

I come to the river
Heavy and tired to the bone
I lay down beside her
Grave as a slowly sinking stone

I see clear to the bottom, I watch how the shadows play
I've seen the water falling, I've seen the colors bleed away

The light turns silver,
Draining the hours from the day
The weight of the water pulls at the branches along the banks
And it tears at the fallen and it carries the broken on it's way

I've seen the water rolling, I've seen the colors fade away
I've seen the water rolling, I've seen the colors fade away

Brilliantly placed in our ears, comfortably meandering through our being, landing in our brain, that we tell ourselves is more important than heart Yet we surely know ~ from recent politics ~ the brain is a flawed entity, as it owns it’s very life, to the ❀️ the heart, the inspiration, like a live giving river ... flowing ... flowing ... lowing, ...owning ... wning ... ning. ... ing ... ng ... g ... ggggggg......
Yellow Moon (Neville's FROM New Orleans)>Moon Over Bourbon Street (REFERENCE New Orleans)>To the River (Move up the Mississippi to a band from Birmingham singing about it)
NICE.
makes me think of Bobby Weir's "Only A River"

And a well-placed drone. Very effective indeed.
Just like a river, this song will stop you in your tracks.
Arms of the Angels...?
I just got out of a very cold river, after a bit of fly fishing. Ice on the shore the water was low and clear. Shining like quicksilver when the sun was reflected on the current. In font of the fire to warm my cold legs and a glass of Shiraz and I turned on RP to this song, a peaceful coda to a nice afternoon. Thank you RP. πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜€
Be nice to have some music with Celtic lyrics
What he said. I bumped him too.

A beautiful following to Scott Hutchinson's performance.

He's the male half of the duo. No Wiki page for Down Like Silver.

And the other half, Caitlyn Canty

Very well said.  TOTALLY.
I sure did love EMS

Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread; it's the same male vocalist: Peter Bradley Adams.
Just saw Caitlin Canty last night in a tiny venue in Seattle.
Awesome show.

I kept imagining a drone in the background...

Damn, this song is almost too beautiful, if there can be such a thing.

It's almost hypnotic; very nice.  I would also like to know where this river is.
Shades of "East Mountain South". Miss those two. This is very nice.
Heavenly.

Agreed. Nice. Has somewhat of a resemblance to the singing-spoken vocal style by Robert Plant / Patti Griffin.

That is exactly who I thought it was
That was nice.
Favorite new song of the day. Very nice.
Gorgeous song. Not heard of this band before, like so many others, I hear the great stuff on RadioParadise.

{#Yes} Thanks to RP for introducing me to DLS / Caitlin Canty.

Something light that matches a sinking stone.

My thought exactly.   I though it was such a shame that Eastmountainsouth only had one album.  I'll have to see if DLS is a good substitute.
Caitlin Canty.

Oh no...Another country song! Again!...But I still love RP.
