You better run, you better run
You better not wait too long
You better run, you better run
You better run before you have a heart
So let`s start, so let`s start, so let`s start tear it all apart
You better run, you better run,
You better run before you have a heart

Chorus:
Well, oh well, oh, you know it is only so much I can take
I buried my head in that pillow for a million days, oh
Oh well, I`m sorry, but I do not care to wait
Dare not walk through the light
Dare not walk through the light

Your visions travelled far today
So why don`t you run away?
Your visions travelled far today
Like in the times when you say
I haven`t cried, I haven`t cried
And I will not be contained
I haven`t cried, I haven`t cried
and I will not be contained, no.

CHORUS

(Hoaw!)

Dare not walk through the light
Dare not walk through the light

A very serious accomplished style of music. His voice is one of the best. And the band gets it.

Oooh, what a great idea. You need to arrange it. I’ll buy the album. ;-)

Best comment on the internet!
And the song, an easy 9
Everytime this song comes up, I think it's Nick Cave. I love this song!  I need to get more from this band. Albeit, I'm late to the party, but, they've going a prominent position on my playlist.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH.
Love. Smooth.
I'd listen to this guy sing the phone book. Or better yet, the encyclopedia.
There seems to be some Wicked Game by Chris Isaak hidden inside.

Had to stop working and turn it up.

Read the comments - almost all positive, now that's rare! Tis a frickin awesome toon though!!
Vocal is the only song I've heard, so far, by Madrugada, but am I the only one to hear a male-fronted Mazzy Star? So intrigued! Thank you Bill and Rebecca

It's like the old saw about a one-trick pony:
'Sure it's just one trick, but it's a really GOOD trick.' I'll listen to that trick all day long.

I too, had never been exposed to this band until RP, as is the case with so many tunes played here.  Thank you for such an incredible variety.

This tune has a familiar sound but I have a new appreciation since Bill and Becca showcased it.
Damn I love that voice.

That, and it is fun to tell people one of my favorite vocalists is Sivert Hoyem.  It's mainly fun to just say his name, especially with a non-American accent.  Although if you are European, you may want to use an American accent. I don't know.  Great, now I won't get any sleep tonight.

LOL.  I'll have to try that.
New to me, and I am digging it.

I can hear that too. This guy has more range - but no knock on NC.

Sivert Hoyem's voice is unique  {#Good-vibes}
This guy's voice is amazing - "(oh you were) Majesty" one of my favorites
Echos of Bowie’s ‘cat people’ track “Putting out the fire with gasoline” ??

Thanks for introducing me to this. At first I thought it was some Dead Can Dance I hadn't heard.

Also love this band. Discovered on RP. My favorite is from the album "Live from Tralfamadore" "Majesty". Great album and awesome song.
Yup. RP plays music I didn't even know I liked.
Great live

Same here.  RP is my main source of music.  So many times I've wanted to share a "new" song I've heard on RP only to find out the song was from the 90's.

Same here. The variety found on RP is unique. This is where Spotify fails terribly. Not a chance you'll find "new" music there. The "Radio" feature presents the same widely known artists over and over and over again. Thank heavens there's RP.

Perhaps its late and I'm undercaffeinated, but the interestingness of his voice defies all of my attempts to describe it.

Formulatic Madrugadac good
Wow, another band I met through RP. Haunting, beautiful, brilliant. I hear similarities with Pearl Jam and Mazzy Star, like previous posters. Also hear Delays and Grant Lee Buffalo. Gotta find some more of this band!
Like it.  Love the voice.  Good band.  Don't know 'em well.
Super {#Bananajam}
Every time I hear I'm somewhat spellbound... :)

So why don`t you run away?

This is a great song on a very good album. Too bad their guitarist passed away a few years ago. Haunting.
Kinda reminds me of an atmospheric Roxy Music... I'm sure Brian Ferry would approve.
That sweet humming just pours out of him

Very Pearl Jammy, yet still have it's own unique touch. Thumbs up. Gonna explore the whole album.

"I buried my head in that pillow for a million days..." So have I...
I love the guitar, understated, like great guitar playing always is.
Majestic crooning in a great soundscape - perfect night song.

Shame the way that series petered out. The last episode seemed to give the actors their own way of killing off their characters or sending them off into the sunset...

The show, music all brilliant.  Wish it went longer.  4 seasons was probably just right.

Just finished up the Netflix series "Lillehammer," featuring Steven Van Zandt, and he definitely brought some awesome musical talent to that show, much of it from naught known Nordic bands in the forum of cameos as they briefly appear in the nightclub that is the homebase of his show.  I really hoped he might snag Madrugada or Sievert for a tasty treat to "Lillehammer's" international fan base.  Bummer.
