This is just so insipid. I kind of feel bad for Chris Martin. I guess he has enough money though.
perfect transition from Steven Wilson to Coldplay, they are the same kind and the change between one to the other is very smooth.... But Steve Wilson has a much pleasant voice. 5 for the first, 3 for Coldplay. and expecting the next song to not be as repetitive and plain as the past two ;)
Thank you !!!! such a pleasure to hear "Ink" on RP !!

So many negative comments. I quite like this. It is less dreary than most Coldplay which of course may be why it is not going down so well with others.
And I thought Coldplay could get no lower than para-para-parroting.

At first I thought Ink was a cover of Fast Cars.
Bill's really on his game.

Yowzers. This is pretty awful. No way around it.
Reviews (such as this Washington Post effort) that I've read of this album say that it's basically the lead singer lamenting the "conscious uncoupling" from Gwyneth Paltrow. Introspective and moody, so at least there's some emotion in it, unlike the usual anthemic cold Coldplay output which has the emotional impact of a wet flannel.

wow, first ink
