Great!  I like how they get it almost up to a Doors-like bluesy rocking level in a couple spots with the vocals, blaring key-notes, strings, and tempo...clearly, this is a band destined to be taken more seriously in the long run, which is good, because I think they deserve it!

Yes, that vocal outburst was Morrison-esque. 8.

Definitely. I thought it was a Chris Issak I hadn't heard.

I have noticed you have owned quite a few cars.  Some day I am going to do an inventory.  Are you Jay Leno by chance?  ;)

Enjoyed them weeks ago - perfect summer evening - open air. In Stuttgart. Live even better, joyful. don't forget wearing your hat :-)

I had the same open air experience in Holland. And apart from that hat bring a bottle of wine or buy one at the bar.

Nice to hear from Turkey.  Keep it coming!
This band just keeps growing on me... So I had to purchase their Live in Brussels on vinyl.

That album gets an overall 8!!

Calexico never disappoints me.  This song is one of the best from this album.

Yes, a bit; it's got that minor-key, twangy-guitar, trumpet-accompanied stuff going on like Mr. Diamond's tune does.
Wow...had to stop and check this out....sweet...
very nice vibe... made me write a comment here :)
This song makes me want to get the album and listen to the other songs. I love the feel of it.

Nice flow this afternoon...
Has anyone tried the Koss Striva Pro headphones-?   Supposed to be WiFi

I'm hearing a bit of Chris Isaak influence. A good thing.

Well, this was unusually rousing. I'll give it an 8.
Great Band.  I saw them last weekend at the Cat's Cradle in Carboro NC.  Really a terrific show!
"There's a piano playing on the ocean floor between Havana and New Orleans ..."

Somebody's been watchin too much Sponge Bob.
Just saw them in concert last week (with Bahamas as the opener, check 'em out) and they were excellent live!
Calexico is on my list of bands to see live sometime.

Not necessarily. I think it's a nice enough, but not too convincing "Calexico by the numbers" record (about a 6 on the Radio Paradise scale).

However, I've been to their Berlin concert last month and most of the new songs - like Epic and especially Maybe on Monday - sounded much more interesting and powerful. I definitely recommend seeing them live.

Damn! I want to go back to Havana!
Wow...enjoying this tasty, twangy, typically edgy new stuff from them; thanks, RP!
always a pleasure to hear calexico
Another atmospheric sonic landscape masterpiece.  Seeing Calexico 2 nights in a row in Phoenix in October.  Can't wait for the new tunes live.
I'll see them in concert tonight {#Surprised}
Awesome.  Very atmospheric.  Diggin' the organ parts.  Another Calexico album I'll have to purchase.
I like it.  Calexico has never disappointed me though.
Ahhhhhhhhh....
