Dreamer, dreamer
Like a fool I thought
That it could be
Dream on, dream on,
So that someone
Will understand me

What do I say
When I fell to much
I think by now
I'm wasting time
I'm going

Oh, Lord I'm gone
You are the essence
Of my mind

Lord dreamer
I'm a dreamer
Like a fool I thought
That it could be
Dream on, dream on,
Sure that someone
Someone will understand me

Last comment I see if from August 2018. This is just tooo good to have to wait 4 months to hear again in the rotation - soooo good!

Wow. Another long forgotten (not sure if that's right)  artist getting a modern makeover.

This is the 5th slidey guitar / proper blues sounding track in a row. I have the overwhelming urge to find me a glass of good sipping whisky and stare unblinkingly into a sunset. I guess an episode of Justified will have to do. Shame.
Keep it up.

Mama Told Me Not to Come? Meet Put the Lime In the Coconut! And, oh, I want you both to meet my friend Charlie Daniels. He's a Simple Man.
Queen of soul...Simply the best{#Cheers}
At last.  This song has come along.

Etta James Enduring Soul CD
Good stuff!  Who is on guitar?
There was so little of her voice left at this time, but she was so much more expressive with what she had left of it than the majority of the current pop stars are with their voices.
Dreamy.
Yes, Mama Told Me Not Come almost note for note for a few seconds.
simply beautiful

Very nice. Think this is my favorite from her last album.
Nice. I could hear Eric Johnson doing a fitting cover of this.

Sounds a bit like a BB King song.

The emotion in her voice is truly from within.  RIP Etta.

Every time I hear this I think it is Bobby Bland at first.

I don't see the irony.
o sorry that i latly heard about her....+.
definitely me i comming late to say it is godlike - a deifinetley good song. Soon is comming the next one - well, me i have not enought time to repeat it like a monk - it is a good song. statisticly it is probably not heard enough long on this our naturely environment the whole Planet Earth. And if the good potcracker come to rattle at their heavenly gates - it will a be my white room noise. -so that the bad spirits will allways miss me - - but to have only one contact in common ground  - common ground - what does that mean?
