Let's give it up for the rain
Heavy fall and a halo
Hours of holding the time
Like a stone in the palm of your hand
Lovely days by your side
Not even once, I never saw signs of trouble

Bow your head
Bow your head

Let's give it up for the fool
Words falling carelessly
Each joke holds a belief
For sad people like you and me

Bow your head
Bow your head
Bow your head
For all the loveliness

Let's take a walk on the beach
Feel the sand beneath our feet
Fall asleep in the shade
After a swim in the ocean
Get dry on sandy rocks
Not even once, I never saw
Signs of trouble

Bow your head
Bow your head
Bow your head
For all the loveliness

RP introduced me to Anna's work and for that I am eternally grateful.
Just love this young woman!  Three cheers for Sweden!
I am on my knees & praying please, let this world retrograde (in mind and soul) to the 70's & 80's.
More conscience & less compulsion.
Beautiful song from a beautiful singer

Apparently your inability to breath has not affected your ability to make scathing remarks or type so at least you still have those skill sets in place ...

And to be honest, referring to this act as a pejorative only makes sense if the individual performing the act (probably assumed to be male for that added gay-bashing touch) is doing so unwillingly.  Obviously the receiver is quite happy with the whole thing regardless.  But lets face it, a great many vulgar phrases don't make much sense when taken literally.

Uh... isn't that a pretty song playing right now?

'Blow job' is derived from 'below job', which is self-explanatory.

Every day is a school day, eh?
Great sound!
She reminds me Suzanne Vega a bit...
And for a Second I thought I've heard Eddie Vedder in this song...
If only people would...
What beautiful song, perfect!
This will get ya pumped on a Friday morning!!!!
Totally Song Du Jour. What a great song by a great artist.

I think it's when Dylan went electric

In a nutshell, they play folk but make fun of it and protest its rigidity at the same time.
A quick wiki search will help..

Why do so many comments feel the need to compare to other artists? Are there influences? Yes. Are they deliberately copying other artists? No. It's music. Enjoy the the flow and not the memory of a river you once sat beside.
Kinda George Winston boring.
zzz.. zzz too much repetition

I  AGREE
I think 5 times a week is enough for this song...  can we "Bow this Song" out of rotation. Too repetitive and it makes me feel like I'm in a long ass Catholic mass.
This whole album is beautiful... an RP inspired purchase.

"Rob from always on the run is so bad and copy paste is a sin"

I was just thinking that.  How did she know?
Her lovely voice singing the refrain catches my attention every time. Back to work...
Gosh you folks play this FAR too often. I gave it a 2 today because I'm so sick of it! Thank you for allowing me to tell you.
reminiscent of Sandy Denny & Fairport Convention....like it much

More or less.      {#Cheesygrin}

You can apparently also 'blow chunks' — a reference to violently vomiting.

Though me thinks that 'sucks a big one' refers to something else.....

Terrific voice.  Nicely put together song.

Moreover, if I was back on a street corner playing 'Spot the meat pie' with some fellow traveller lads, she would be easy to identify as Swedish.

Good looking, intelligent looking, minimal make-up and other alterations.  I can readily see why some of the lads are smitten.

Nice song. Does she borrow a riff from Yes's "Heart of the Sunrise"?

I wonder if she's ever even heard that song, though Yes clearly borrowed some bits from King Crimson's "21st-Century Schizoid Man" when they wrote it.

here are the perseverative lyrics

Bed's too big without you
Cold wind blows right thru' my open door
I can't sleep with your memory
Dreaming dreams of what used to be

When she left I was cold inside
That look on my face was just pride
No regrets no love no tears
Living on my own was the least of my fears

Bed's too big without you
The bed's too big without you
The bed's too big
Without you

Since that day when you'd gone
Just had too (sic) carry on
I get thru' day but late at night
Made love to my pillow but it didn't feel right

Every day, just the same
Old rules for the same old game
All I gained was heartache
All I made was one mistake

Now the bed's too big without you
The bed's too big without you
The bed's too big
Without you

(Bed's too big without you
The bed's too big without you
The bed's too big without you
Without you
Without you)

bought the album after hearing this here a few times... no regrets. all very lovely.
Absolutely lovely transition from Nick's Cello Song. Head was already bowed to the lord of acoustic guitar {#Notworthy}
I guess this is another artist whose work I will fork out money for!

Lovely voice.

I notice that you have Bob Marley's "Waiting In Vain" rated a ten, but that song only repeats its chorus about twenty times.
This has really grown on me. It always grabs my attention.
lovely Anna

Anna Ternheim?

OR Suzanne Vega?!

Very nice. Quality tune.
"Bob Your Head" would bee mucho better...  or "Bow Your Potato"...  or "Bob Your Potato"...  or "Bubble Your Bananas"...  or "Hoe Your Tomato"...  or "Broom Your Room"...  or "Hoe Your Head"...  or "Spank Your Monkey"...  or "Spank Your Head"...  or "Bow Your Monkey"...  or "Honk Your Toad"...
A wonderful way to wind down from a great day.

agreed, too much exposure to one tune....
It's not a bad song, but this gets played way too much, and I'm utterly sick of it.  When it comes on, I switch channels, I dislike it so much.

I hear what you mean - there are similarities in their phrasing and the tempo and minor chords of the songs.
Love the guitar....not enough of it to suit me.....talking electric here

Nice
Bill, I think you got Anna Ternheim and Ane Brun confused in your commentary - Ane is norwegian living in Stockholm, Anna is swedish by origin.

Thanks for playing so much swedish music!
I quite liked this song upon first listen and it has since grown on me.  now I suppose it is most excellent...
I accidentally rated this song when my browser restarted. Weird glitch. Good thing I like the song. The "Bow your head" chorus is quite listenable.

Much to my irritation, I couldn't find any Anna Ternheim in an otherwise good music shop in Copenhagen, which had a large selection of Danish music, with some Swedish (I got a CD of Kent, otherwise unobtainable in the UK). Thanks for the information on Amazon, fred. I knew only some of those things and I like to be an informed consumer when I can be such.
