Was I wrong? Off all night long?
So high, as the stinking sun
I came alive, then I felt, Oh Uh Oh

Some guys have everything I know
It's alright
I've done a lot of crawling around outside
(and I heard) It's alright

Your sno-cone, and it's piss and blood
It's in the cards (oh, oh) 'Get Well Soon - EVERYBODY!'
Do all lies have a taste?
Let it go, I don't know oh...
A cow's neck, bad shave, in the low blow slo-mo

It's alright
You won't set the kids on fire
Oh but I might
OH

You come on, sentimental
If the solar car's coming, I'm home
The Magna Carta's on a Slim Jim blood, Brutha!
The sunk soul with the coal clean toe, is the mutha!

Yea. That's right
When you gonna find out
I'm all inside
You still might

It's all right
It's all right

It's alright
You won't set the kids on fire
Oh but I might
OH

It's all right
It's all right

The Doors - really?  Which song?

Aha! ....knew I would find a comment somewhere about Bowie...I agree - thought it may have been a Bowie number I had never heard {#Think}

Damn, Tweedy just keeps on rocking.

Remember that time he got the lead role in Almost Famous?  Me neither...

Meh.  It's alright.  6
This is so 110% POP.   I like it.
My emotional needs at the moment are a bit more than this song provides for. Alright?

yeah, good shout.

I agree with you but Wilco has been doing power pop for close to two decades now.
Yes! Cranking it up!
Love the ballpark organ sound....{#Bounce}
Bands and songwriters don't get any better than Wilco & Jeff Tweedy.  One-of-a-kind and hands down one of the best.  Great little ditty this one is.

...because it resembles wet toilet paper...
..gives me late 70s Cars vibrations..for some odd reason..
This is the best of the newer Wilco songs, IMO.  Love the organ.

That is priceless.

We saw Wilco at the Forecastle Festival in Louisville in mid-July. They rocked the stage. You're lucky you had front row seats!

Can't wait to see them at the Greek this Friday - Woo Hoo!

Pretty good concert
Not sure about the new material
Older stuff was terrific
Daughter scored front row tickets for me for Fathers Day
She works at Wolf Trap for the summer
she suffered through it for me last night, bless her
Two front row tickets for Wilco: $45
Spending evening with daughter: Priceless

I love this song, and I don't know why.

Not really feeling it on this listen but I said that about a few other tracks off this album and I was wrong so I won't get too carried away this time.
This song is so catchy. The whole album is great, really.
Somewhat bland for Wilco...me thinks.

Ummm, I think Messrs Knoffler and Gabriel have something to say about that. But it begs the question, which acts get the most airplay? Hmmmm.

Knoffler, Gabriel, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, and (unfortunately) The Talking Heads.
Very Bowie-esque.

I so get that! Like the energy in this!

Might have to adopt this as my new anthem as I enter this season as manager of the Rabbid Rabbits Baseball Club. ("you won't set the kids on fire, but I might") Haha!

Wilco meets New Pornographers. Not bad.
Bonus points for the Farfisa sound.

Whiskeytown + new Wilco = happy girl
Can't wait to see Wilco this week in Denver...saw them in Toronto a few months ago and they were crazy good.

Shades of the Plimsouls.
Didn't like the organ first listens, but as usual Wilco grows on me.

Wow!  First Tim Curry reference in my 6 + years on RP.  I see "I Do The Rock" is available for play, but it's never been played here.  Our loss.

Interesting.  One of the reasons I really love these guys.
This album is really growing on me too. It's probably their best since Ghost.

OTOH, seeing them live last month was a real disappointment. Nels is always good, but the whole band seemed disinterested. Maybe it was just an off night.

Had the pleasure of seeing this performed live at Solid Sound in May. Nels Cline ... what can I say, 1 of Rolling Stones top 100 rock guitarists, this track is a good example. 7/8

The Clash meet Costello. . .

This album is by far the best they've done in years! I've fallen in love with Wilco (again)!
That was awful.
Yahoo. fuzz gtrs and yelling, alright
the album arrived yesterday! woohoo!
This sounds promising. The last two Wilco albums I found a little tepid, even with Cline on board.

Personally, Best Track Off Their New Album
This.

Bill needs to play "art of almost", maybe its too long at 7+, but it is awesome.

I know!!!! That's my favorite one on the CD.

Nothing is too long for RP——especially after that 25-minute long Tull song that I can't stand!

Sounds like they got close on this song....

After hearing 2 songs from the new CD on RP, I need to hear more. Neither of those songs were sucko-barfo, in my opinion

I thought I had heard this before, but couldn't place which album it was from.  Now that I see it's the new one, I know why!

This is really good. I was a tad disappointed with their last album, but this is rockin' !
Better than nothing but will need to grow on me...
Seeing them in Boston tomorrow night...
New Wilco? Not bad.
