Example of, 'just because it's Paul Simon, doesn't mean it's any good'.

This. There are better songs on this album. Check it out.
What can I say - as in so many cases most of you are wrong.  Great song.  Great artist.
Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, and now Iggy Pop. Is this BillG's "genius artists who dwindled to mediocrity" set? And if so, who's next, Elton John?

he should have stayed w/ art for art's sake.  but he did quite well on his own...
Yawn.
For me it's definitely the "So What" category.
Miles Davis next?
Altho.... the cover art is nice. Sad to hear such comments about a Paul Simon offering. {#Sad}   I don't much care for it either.
Paul Simon still has a great voice... tune kinda fun.. but the lyrics?  Bad to awful lyrics.
Ok, somewhere in the middle of this song, there is a repeating note that sounds WAY too much like my alarm clock.  Even if I normally would have liked this song, that sound sets my teeth on edge.
Yikes!  Dear old Paul Simon is losing it.

Wow...lots of echoes from Graceland. I thought he already did this...

By using a good hifi (actually a very good HiFi) it sounds like a tambourine. {#Wink}

washing machines are sooooo good for the ears!

Yes, my comment was deliberate...  it sounds like it was recorded in somebody's living room...

Nobody dancing in your Hotel room?
PAUL McSIMON - SACRED ARTISTS!

{#Surprised}

If Romeo says it's crap, it must be.
This is my favourite track i have heard played from this album.  I like it a lot.

sorry to say it, but this song sux...

Were you intentionally being ironic? This album WAS recorded at his home studio.  That being said, this song and most of this album doesn't do it for me either.

Romeo! This is the first negative post I've seen from you! Where's the love?!
If you're going to be a hater too, all is lost...

Agree with the rehash comments. This sounds so much like some of his other stuff only worse. His latest music just doesn't seem fresh anymore. It doesn't have that close-eyes-and-listen effect like so many of his earlier works did.
Rather enjoyed that. 7 for now until I can give it a proper listen.
I have this album and the first 1/3 is good, and it all falls down to crap and filler This is in the crap and filler section

Well said, Terry. I think Fred is being too literal.

Me thinks Paul has somehow discovered a tear in the fabric of space-time. This sounds like he went back to the 80's, open up the seat under the piano bench, after asking Edie to stand up, dusted off something he had originally rejected, walked back through said tear, and then said, "Behold, I've a new offering for the masses!"

I'm not buying it. He's beginning to look a little like Tippy the Turtle too.

Hate to be a hater, but....

Plainly yer man Simon doesn't, because a good chunk of them are bollox. For a start, someone should tell him that "light year" is a measure of distance, not of time.

Right you are, but it is hard to say
1 light year = 9.4605284 × 1015 meters
therefore we measure the distance light can travel in a year. In that sense, it is distance over time.

I hope you didn't hurt yourself. :)

Holy Crap!!!  Who are you and what have you done with Romeo!!!

I've never seen you write something negative.  Took me by surprise.
This is my first listen.  My nephew in NYC, a Berklee graduate, thinks this new CD is GREAT.  Can't wait to hear more.

Boy in the Bubble?

Recycled!

Cannot stand this guy anymore.
I thought I was listening to Paul Simon, and wasn't really listening to the lyrics, until I heard something about a bomb in a marketplace... and thought I must be wrong.

I can't believe he is still making music!  I remember being very embarrased for my 8th grade music teacher when he tried to get us to sing 'feeling groovy' back in 1992... at the time I couldn't imagine anything more uncool to do than sing about 'feeling groovy'.
Rock 'n Roll cosmology... yeah!

Still crazy after all these years!
