Back down... down to the downtown
Down to the lockdown... boards, nails lie around
I crouch like a crow
Contrasting the snow
For the agony, I'd rather know
Cause blinded I am blindsided
Peek in... into the peer in
I'm not really like this... I'm probably plight-less
I cup the window
I'm crippled and slow
For the agony
I'd rather know
Cause blinded I am blindsided
Would you really rush out?
Would you really rush out?
Would you really rush out for me now?
Would you really rush out?
Would you really rush out for me now?
Would you really rush out for me now?
Would you really rush out for me now?
Would you really rush out?
For me now?
For me now?
For me now?
Taut line... down to the shoreline
The end of a blood line... the moon is a cold light
There's a pull to the flow
My feet melt the snow
For the irony, I'd rather know
Cause blinded I was blindsided
Blinded I was blindsided
Cause blinded I was blindsided
Down to the lockdown... boards, nails lie around
I crouch like a crow
Contrasting the snow
For the agony, I'd rather know
Cause blinded I am blindsided
Peek in... into the peer in

For me this album speaks to my soul by how the artist exposes pure raw human emotion through sound. Falsetto, cracking voices, in and out of tune, it speaks from a very real, very deep vulnerable place. It's beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYNjlat8Af8&feature=related
Gordon Bennett!
What time is it across there in Paradise, CA? 3.00am? This is the worst sequence of 4s, 3s, 2s and 1s I've ever heard assembled!
And I'm normally such a positive guy!

What was going on at the end? Odd, and not good.
here in new england we pronounce it like this:

Bill, you might want to check your pronunciation of the band's name. From Wikipedia: The name, Bon Iver, is a bastardization of the French, bon hiver (good winter).
Sorry for the double post but not too savvy with techno here in the exotic beauty of Kenya, well I am not but many others here are. He is actually spelling it as it is said, the h is silent in French. They just love their flourishes!yay! i heart.
icepick worthy
For those of you who haven't noticed, Excelsior hasn't been around for a few weeks. I don't know if Bill finally gave him the axe or he just finally gave up. Either way, Please stop re-posting his comments. Thanks.

Just saw him live in Dublin. Excellent gig- geting rave reviews in the media here. Happy days! More songs please! Skinny Love is fantastic.
So, if I just wail some random falsetto notes into a microphone, can I get a record deal too? Seems to have worked for Bon Iver, Tom Baxter, Cinematic Orchestra, and just about a third of the other male vocalists on RP.
Do I hear RadioHead? By the way the new site sucks. It is really slow. Then again I havea piece of crap computer.
The Veils and now this.
It's SWWWWWEEEEETTTTT and I like it......falsetto and all....never heard them before, great addition...(some of us like sweet falsetto)
All this treacly falsetto =
Thanks for introducing this band to listeners, Bill. I've listened to this CD every day this week on the way to work. It's a beauty.
Is this guy trying to Elbow his way into the rotation?
Hey Bill,
Am a new listener and loving it. Spotted Bon Iver on here and would say there are loads of tracks on the album that I think you'd love. Give it a listen. The fact my name and it's title are similar is not affecting my comment ;0)
Best of luck.

This is why I love RadioParadise. Songs like these that blow you away, by artists you've never heard of. I love the harmonies with the falsetto and the deep quiet vocal bass part.

First heard this guy on Six Degree's Traveller. the whole album is very good. But I'm annoyed that the digital version on itunes comes with an extra track. Odd to be penalized for buying the CD!
At least you can buy the bonus track individually and not have to re-buy the entire album digitally to be able to get it, as is too often the case with iTunes.
2nd listen and I'm loving it!
An album I have to keep listening over and over again hoping each time I will find the right words and reasons to describe why the heck I love it so much. Great headphone listen...
oh man, i just recently started listening to Bon Iver. Flume and Skinny Love are two other great songs you should listen to if you like this one. This song is on my sleep mix that i play every night in bed. When it started playing it took me a second to realize that I wasnt listening to my iPod, rather it had been played by Bill. I was really excited to hear it played here. Thanks alot!
interesting!... must keep my eye on them. Thanks again RP.

Dang it, I just bought this CD and meant to bring it into work with me today.

Secluding yourself in a cabin in the winter woods for a few months seems like a good way to make a thoughtful, tranquil album.
Hard to listen to. ...too bad, it might be a decent song if he sang in tune.
Wow... does every male artist added to the RP playlist in the last few months either sing in a falsetto or whisper?
I heard about this guy/group(?) on NPR, as part of an article about the recent South by Southwest. Nice to hear. I like it.
I hear a little Jeff Buckley in his voice.

How could you sleep with all that off-key falsetto going on?

Heard this guy on a Paste Magazine sampler and loved him. Thanks for playing him Bill!

My daughter just sent me this a couple of weeks ago. I was thinking - this would be good RP material. Whole CD is good.
Vienna Teng is not a male.
Oh, wait...
