When your whole world is shaken
From all the rhythm we have taken
dance with me dance with me to the colors of the dusk
when you have awoken
from all the dreams broken
come and dance with me dance with me into the colors of the dusk
dance with me into the colors of the dusk
the paths were walking on
they crumble behind us
but if we leave now

they will never, they will never find us
if this crazy world spins itself down dusk
i wanna be with you, im gonna be with you, in the colors
when you again start moping
with your arms wide open
come on dance with me oh dance with me into the colors of the dusk
and all will be right, will be right
dancing like water with the light
woah dance with me wont you dance with me into the colors of the dusk
woah dance with me into the colors of the dusk, dance with me to the colors of the dusk

This is the kind of music I expect from RP. I'm impressed. GREAT CHOICE!

I was just thinking the same thing. I want to like this song but it just doesn't.....doesn't...ugh...I can't explain it.
It's devoid of any passion or soul... like all of his songs.
well, i guess R&B isn't completely dead yet even if all we have left is an Otis Redding impersonator

Bill missed an opportunity to have an animal themed set with this: The The -- Dogs of Lust Al Stewart -- Year of the Cat Ben Harper -- Dance with me into the colors of the Duck
I wouldn't have paid any attention to that lyric had I not been reading at the moment that it popped up in the song. Thanks. Now I'm going to have that mondegreen stuck in my head all day during in-services tomorrow.

Ben Harper is the reigning God of phrasing and one bad MF. Brought the house down at Bonnaroo and more recently at the Warner in DC. His Marvin Gaye covers in "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" are epic. Seek and ye shall find.

he's just a scruffy stoner version of Eagle Eye Cherry
So cloying.
WFUV played this entire album one evening, and it gave me the the definite feeling that there's trouble in paradise with Laura?
