Come on in Number Forty-Three,
You seem surprised to see me
Just relax, this won't take long,
A mere formality...

Would you like to have a Coke
A lawyer or perhaps a smoke?
All of these things can be provided.

Better times they are coming our way
Coming our way
Coming our way
You know that better times they are comin' our way,
Comin' our way...

Now don't be shy and don't deny!
We've all seen the evidence;
Clearly this is not your first offense.

An airtight case, we all agree
But we've seen worse quite frequently,
Nonetheless, you crossed...
That threshold.

Better times they are coming our way
Coming our way
Coming our way
You know that better times they are comin' our way,
Comin' our way...

Cup of coffee, Number Forty-Three?
The Big Man he will be right along,
So just relax, it won't take long,
A mere formality.

The camel's small, the needle large,
No my friend, you're not in charge,
We've heard it all before, just await your reckoning.

Better times they are coming our way
Coming our way
Coming our way
You know that better times they are comin' our way,
Comin' our way...

Open up for Number Eight
She's standing at the garden gate
Little Bo-Peep,
With her pit bull.
Open up for Number Four,
Waitin' at your back door

Just saw Cracker with Camper van in Philly. I still love seeing them live. They have a nice catalog from which to draw. Happy to be one of the bald/balding heads bopping up and down.
super Specials vibe and I likey
I really like some Cracker songs, but they tend to be hit or miss. It was frustrating when you had to buy CDs.

This is is a miss. I feel confident that Better Song Are Coming Our Way however.

I have been eclectic listener of music since 1988, and I truly dig this station! will recommend this many others...
Yawnsville, Nebraska everyone. Bore. Ing. zzzzzzz

I've been noticing a scary trend. Radioparadise has been moving farther from everything it was when I started listening and closer to "easy listening" every day. This is one of the few songs left on the playlist that echo of what radioparadise used to be. Wether I like the song or not doesn't matter, If I wanted to listen to only the songs I liked, I'd not waste someone else's (extremely expensive) bandwidth to listen to a music stream.
This entry screams "reply"! Radio Paradise is pretty much the same as always, although the DJ and his wife (who programs the specific songs) are Boomers from the SF Bay Area, so you have to make allowances. Easy listening is not the word I would use to describe the programming on Radioparadise.com. It's more like psychedelic and liberal. If that equals easy listening in some listener's ears, so be it.
Band: Good Stuff Song: Ho-Hum
There is much better Cracker in the barrel so to speak but I like just about all their stuff. This is no exception. yes quite likeable

The worst song on the album? (Not IMO, I uploaded this one :-)) It's sometimes a challenge to predict which songs RP will accept, so I usualy choose cuts that I think have a greater chance than the more creative versions that I think many RP listeners would appreciate. I already tried uploading the two songs I think are the best on the CD ("Maggie" and "Gimme One More Chance", a truly kick-ass rocker that I wish RP had accepted) and both were declined very quickly (not sure why). Greenland is less about the bar-room pleasing rockers of their past, and more about an introspective look at aging and better times before, so it may not have as immediate appeal as Kerosene Hat say, but I think it's rewarding after repeated listens. I saw them at the Fillmore last week in S.F., and their live show is still one of the best around, although David was a little more reserved than other shows in the past (although he still spits out his lyrics in a visible spray, and Johnny Hickman's guitar work is such a joy to watch live...)
Sorry, listened to it again and just don't care for it. In fact, it makes me sleepy.

I agree. This is probably the worst song on the album. Give "Gimme One More Chance" a listen. Damn good song, especially Hickman's guitar solo. I wish RP would upload this. I've been a HUGE Cracker fan since their first album came out in 1992, and have seen them at least 10-12 times anytime they come through Chicago. Though I do like the new album, I really miss the intensity and energy of some of their earlier work. They've kind of mellowed out as they've aged. However, they are still a fantastic live act, and always a put on a great show.
This sounds like the theme song to the Sergie Boydrof film "Brat" (Brother in russian). I like the russian song better - and no I don't mean "Wings" by Nautilas.

Certainly there is something on this new album that is more aurally rewarding than this tune. I have a couple of the older Cracker CD's (Kerosene Hat & The Golden Age) and I can listen to every track on both CD's over and over. But this song, Man! You just want it to end! I hope you can dig a little deeper and find something more airworthy.

First Cracker album I ever bought; I like it alot
Only Cracker album I NEVER bought. I like it very little. They really missed the boat on this one. I think it's been toooooooo long since they have been in the studio with new material. One of my favorite bands is now delegated to "hey, remember when such and such a band really rocked". Happens to the best of us.
Totally dating myself, but this reminds me of an old Clorox commercial.. "I'm wearing hand me down clothes...that's why they call me Hand-Me-Down Joe..."

Boring song, but at least they are right. Democrats are polling far higher than Republicans for 2006. Here's hoping for a return to sanity (e.g. impeachment).
This pains me to say to no end...I agree with physicsgenius...not changing of course that he continues to be a horse's ass!!!!

Fantastic to hear some new Cracker. Gonna see them at Belechere Festival next week in Asheville!
I always wondered what became of Fun Boy Three. Now I know.

I downloaded this album from the mp3 site in Russia (shame on me)! On first listen it doesn't live up to their quality, but time will tell as Cracker is like a funky disease, once it gets its tendrils in you its hard for you to let go and you end up really liking it. Gentleman's Blues and Countrysides have the same effect-kinda funky but overall unique and very appealing.
Here is an album i could afford to buy! i love Cracker. Always have, always will.
Another stellar work from a great, enduring band. This album is getting better and better for me.
New album from Cracker? Didn't hear about it. Not sure about this song will have to wait and see how it plays out
I'm intriqued. Bill, you keep comin' up with more and more... that's good.
An average song from an average album (but its new, so it may grow on me) from a fantastic band. David Lowery for President!
