Shoes crack where you walk
Settle down
Inside, outside, amazing
Cut it back
Get in some clean fresh air

Acute angles, divide my
Path that I had lost
Path that I had lost
Acute angles, divide my
Path that I had lost
Path that I had lost

Tongue tied, couldn't talk
Settle down
Inside, outside, amazing
Haven't lost
Haven't cared at all

Acute angles, divide my
Path that I had lost
Path that I had lost
Acute angles, divide my
Path that I had lost
Path that I had lost

And when you see a boat come
in a straight line
You know it's going straight down
And then you feel like a flower sender
Lender, like you

I close my eyes
Nothing to see here
Nothing to see here

Cloud tank, given off
Watered down
Inside, outside, the razing
Wasn't cool
Wasn't fair at all

Acute angles, divide my
Path that I had lost
Path that I had lost
Acute angles, divide my
Path that I had lost
Path that I had lost

I close my eyes
Nothing to see here
(I close my eyes)

And when you see the big crack in the sunlight
You know it's over somehow
And then a pinhole sky explodes out
Ball of fire
Supernova falls down on you

I close my eyes
Nothing to see here

(Ball of fire
Supernova falls down on you)

I close my eyes
Nothing to see here

I close my eyes
Nothing to see here

Add this to the list of bands I would probably never have discovered if it wasn't for RP.  Keep up the good work.
Cool groove. Makes me think a little of Death Cab for Cutie? Me Likey.
One of the best-sounding bands I've seen live.
Would certainly enjoy hearing more Pinback on RP...just sayin' William.

a new what?

Absolutely.  Just toggled over to this tab to see what SP album this was on...and was completely surprised to see it wasn't the Pickups at all.

Pretty nice groove though.  I like it.
I love the sinister-bent keyboards and bass at work here, and the timely percussion slays left and right at will. The lyrics are psychedelic and sci-fi cryptic. To see these guys opertaing their magic on stage in a good soundhall is a perfect prescription for rapid expansion of hyper-consciousness. They're truly worthy of worship.
Stream of consciousness lyrics remind me of "Trim" by Underworld.
Nothing to see here....

These aren't the droids you're looking for....

Move Along!

Pinback, está tocando um evento beneficente para a Escola de Museus na Caixa de Música em 20/04 com El Ten Eleven, The Color Forty-Nine, e a estreia de um novo projeto com John Reis (Hot Snakes/Rocket From The Crypt/Drive Like Jehu,etc.) e Rob Crow!

12 years ago explains the CD comment. Still buy them one and awhile. But getting rare.
I love math.
6 --> 7
I really enjoy the bass playing in this tune.
Maybe follow it up with Alt-J Tessellate? More songs about geometry homework, please! {#Ask}

Have really got into these guys (thanks to RP) - they have a lot of great music.  Always cool to discover a "new" band that has been around a while....  This tune is most excellent.
10 seconds in, instant fan. Love the annoying percussion. 9.
This is one of THE BEST groups you could ever hope to see in concert! And if you're lucky, there will be good sound, and lotsa weed...
Addicted to this song.  Leads me to others by this "unknown" group.  Thanks again RP!
Sender : A cute angel.
All these years I thought they said "cute angels" {#Cheesygrin}
Love the bass line! {#Bananajam}{#Guitarist}{#Boohoo}
Lovely diction.
One of my favourites of all time
Proof that The Cure has procreated with Death Cab.

How about now?
These guys are so good - don't know why they never became "known".  Glad to have discovered them from RP - great stuff!

I'm getting a hiccup in my radio stream. Anyone else?
Was wondering when I'd hear this gem again on RP, after seeing one of the best live shows ever; these guys absolutely stunned us all! There is a way they play their instruments that is like no other, and the icy cool sci-fi edge to most of their songs kills, and THEY ROCK!
TONIGHT they jam, at the Fox Theater, in Boulder -- so excited, can't wait!  Unique bass, cool catchy vocals, interesting arrangements... This song rocks, for sure, and Fortress has a wicked groove, too, but AFK absolutely cranks a new level...gotta see it!
Vaguely similar to some Joseph Arthur tunes.
How did I miss the year 2004? This and Syntax' Meccano Mind came out the same year. I think it's called raising children (and no time for myself).
Supernova falls down on me. . .

My son turned me on to this band, and then quite by accident, I know someone who has drummed w/them too. Very enjoyable sound.
this would be a good one for "The Math CD vol. II"
{#Music}
I can never make out a damn word they say, but have always dug this band!{#Lol}

Agreed, I hear Pinback and always think of "Three Seed"

Yes, but where SSPU sounded like this for one song, Pinback sounds like this all the time.

another great San Diego export...
I really like Pinback and enjoy most of their songs, unfortunately this is not one of them!{#No}
I enjoy this tune, but I can't help but think it's ima robot...
I first heard this band when my hairdresser brought his daughter's iPod to work and we listened to her favorite Pinback tunes while he was cutting my hair. I really liked what I heard and I'm glad to see they're being played here on RP.
Sounds sorta Death Cab For Cutie-esque.  Not that that's a bad thing.
One of my all time favorite pinback songs!
Cool and sophisticated.
wow - that was kind of a throwback to many 80's bands - the call amongst ones on the tip of my tongue.  love it.
Nice groove, Gettin' into it.
This song is pretty good!
Absolutely LOVE this band!

The year this was recorded makes it impossible to be the theme of Twin Peaks, but isn't that the same riff from this TV program?
The "Now Playing" list was stuck for a while. "Sender" was followed by the Twin Peaks theme by Julee Cruise.

very nice!
Wow! Another fabulous band I'd never have discovered without RP's amazing super powers!
Really diggin\' the base on this track...it reinvigorated my day

I love Pinback. My only complaint is their lyrics are almost always indistinguishable. The only reason this bothers me is that I tend to like to sing along and thus end up singing their songs phonetically. However, once I read some of their lyrics and realized how cryptic/nonsensical they are, it's almost better to just enjoy it for what it is...indistinguishable lyrics and all.
Yeah, now you know how all us 40 something folks feel about REM. Love the band, love to sing along, find it harder to do the latter. Stipes lyrics are pretty nonsensical at times.
I'm happy to say that Pinback will release a new album, Autumn of the Seraphs, in September.

I have been a fan of this band for some time and am very happy to hear them on RP. Please play more by Pinback or anything that you feel fits this sound.
Distinctively cool
