Wow, I am no Radioparadise Legacy, but I've never seen a scattering of votes for a song. It's all over the place. Personally, I love this group. The lyrics are so poetic. Everyone needs a little sea shanty every once in a while.

i love the story feel to their songs. i heard them first here and went home and looked them up and now i think i have 2 of their albums.
The Decemberists are pretty unusual. Love some of their stuff... and Hate some of it. They do a few long, odd balads -- which at first drove me crazy, but then I started to enjoy the weird little tales. I had to give it time to grow on me. Some bands need a more open-mind than others... but in the end, variety and diversity are good for the soul.
not diggin it... :-k

I don't know about obnoxious, but this is the second tune by these guys that I've heard on RP and in each on this guy sings with a different accent. Appears to be having a linguistic identity crisis.

On the contrary, -3-. (Would have been a -4- but for that voice.)

I usually wouldn't like these guys because Colin Maloy's voice is so affected, but something about them really caught me. Some really great songs.... California One has got to be my favorite though
Had to hit Mute.
Merde !

Oh, we're all obnoxious. More importantly - is that really a guy? Like Nico's brother or something? I seriously had to turn this down at work because it sucked so bad.

Listen to this NPR interview, it tells you where they're coming from...the lyrics are inspired by historical events. (click here)
