She is susceptible
He is impossible
They have their cross to share
Three of a perfect pair

He has his contradicting views
She has her cyclothymic moods
They make a study in despair
Three of a perfect pair

One, one too many
Schizophrenic tendencies
Keeps it complicated (complicated)
Keeps it aggravated (aggravated)
And full of this hopelessness
What a perfect mess

Excellent!!   Thanx RP!

The places to start: In The Court of the Crimson King - old school mystic prog that set a standard Red - Fripp, Bruford, Wetton in a formation that could "shred wallpaper at a hundred paces" according to Fripp Discipline - Fripp, Belew, Bruford, Levin, with a renewed vision and concentrated, unadulterated musicianship THRAK - Fripp, Belew, Bruford, Levin, Mastolletto, and Gunn in the "double trio" formation. A complex, formidable, and confrontational album that rewards thoughtful listening and, if you want a real honest-to-goodness treat: The Great Deceiver - complete, unedited performances of the band at their mid-70s prog rock best. A self indulgent purchase, but MAN. The cheapskate version of that would be The Night Watch - still a bang-up live set
Larks Tongues in Aspic!! Gotta have it.

great music, but awful voice.
King Crimson - Three of a Perfect Pair Kings Of Leon - The Runner Kruder & Dorfmeister - Gotta Jazz Jimi Hendrix - Drifting Was Bill just strolling by the middle of his collection and grabbing things as he walked?
Make it go away. Please.
YEAH! Not my favorite Crim but fun to hear anyway. Anyone with an interest in this era should really pick up "Discipline". So awesome. Though my all-time fave Crim is "Red".
please, G-d, let it end soon.
wow. two suckos in a row.

The title track from that one makes a timely appearance in the very excellent Children of Men, which I just saw yesterday. Thanks for posting the thumbnail summary of KC album highlights. That could come in handy for me later. All I have at this point is the Three of a Perfect Pair CD.
Heya Hijoppi, nice to notice that exactly a year ago you had the same thought I had tonight: David Byrne. Hehehe.

Oh the memories...
This song is amazing. Listen to the engineering too... the more I listen to Crimson, it's apparent they are one of the best bands around period. I saw them and Adrian played drums! Trey Gunn on Bass (I would have loved to see Levin, he is amazing!). This track is a beauty.
I'm hearing Peter Satara here...not good.

You just played Fripp. Must be his day.
China, 1982, in middle of a international experiment to see what happened if you put pasty white high school kids from an upstate NY suburb in the middle of a Beijing university. What did they do? They grooved for hours on end to King Crimson. Thanks for the memories!

Always have liked Belew.
I love King Crimson and Fripp...It satisfies my need for all that is skewered and unique...Adrian Belew helps too!!
Couldn't figure out if I liked this song or not. And then it did this cool chorus thing. I like it.
I have started listening to this radio just recently and it is getting better and better all the time... I love King Crimson ...
Never mind the Luddites! I'm groovn' to the agrovated bass line. Thanks to Mr. T. Levin.
This song makes my nostrils flare with its coolness. I love that drumming.
Complicated...Aggravated..Aggravated...The only thing aggravating is the singer's voice. The guitar solo sounds like a broken pipe organ.
Kick ass....
Happy Birthday Bill Bruford!
interesting tune...maybe I'll delve into KC a little more. Always been intrigued with KC since Bill Bruford was with Yes also for a time.
Like Hujoppi, I thought this was David Byrne, but KNEW it was NOT Talking Heads....I would recognize Frippertronics anywhere!

Frippertronics is an amazing machine! Good read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frippertronics

"Holy Jesus, hold the candle steady while I shave the chicken's lip!!!" That alone just made this song for me...
Mother Hold the Candle Steady While I Shave the Chicken's Lip is a song from the album Thrakattak and quite possible the weirdest song title ever along with KC's The World's My Oyster Soup Kitchen Floor Wax Museum (which has Adrian Belew shouting "get jiggy with it!")

wicked - lots of different rhythms going on there I saw KC a few years ago on the THRAK tour with a six man lineup - IMPRESSIVE an acquired taste, to be sure... thanks, Bill
I could swear it's David Byrne there, but guess not? Little too overpowering vocals in my taste, but otherwise, like the progressive touch...
Makes me think of Steely Dan. That's not a compliment.
I like this song! It's not as ordinary as the most other songs I get to hear every day on radio!
This song made my ears bleed....
Dang I missed it!
I really enjoy this dense song, full of emotion, and the driving, wailing beat is amazing. You can't tell from the pic here, but the album artwork is very interesting also, and from what I've read, it was done by a schizophrenic man in a mental hospital (three of a perfect pair is the title of the artwork, so the song was loosly based on that idea)
BEAUTIFUL MUSIC WITH MEANING, I LOVE THIS ALBUM. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING, RP!
This is great King Crimson. I'll take this over Eyes Wide Open which is not as good and overplayed on RP, IMHO.

Yes, thanks RP for playing this one. I kind of lost track of King Crimson after selling my vinyl a few years ago. Always meant to replace with CDs but never got around to it. Good stuff.
Simply AWFUL. I'm trying to work here!

I thought this one was rather new on here. glad it was added. yes, excellent tune!
This is a great song from one of King Crimson's best periods in their long history. Personally, my favorite song from this album is "Sleepless"... I'd love to hear that on RP sometime...
Oh...like all four triplets.
Excellent driving tune
Such a great song. There is so much great music from this band.
Very cool! Very King Crimson.
I love this song.
