Never know but nothing less
Couldn't see that I have guessed
Couldn't see, couldn't stay away
I never even stopped to dream and
That Id see anything and
The world is coming out so cold

Oh, and it's raining again
Loud on your car like, bullets on tin
Oh, and its raining again
Open the door and pulling me in

Nothing here but nothing less
Cold heart is stuck in this
Couldn't say the kindest words we knew
Everything I tried to say but
No one listens anyway
I had to give up everything that I knew

Oh, and it's raining again
Loud on your car like, bullets on tin
Oh, and its raining again
Open the door and pulling me in

Oh, and it's raining
Raining again
Oh, and it's raining
Raining again

Nothing here but nothing less
Everything we both regret
Couldn't say the kindest words we knew
Cause it was winter time and
We wanted some more time and
We watched the girls try something knew
We didn't even stopped to see that
That It was breaking me and
The world is coming out so cold
What you want you couldn't get, you
Couldn't wait for something less, you
Had to give up everything you knew

Oh, and it's raining again
Loud on your car like, bullets on tin
Oh, and its raining again
Open the door and pulling me in
Oh, and it's raining again
Loud on your car like, bullets on tin
Oh, and its raining again
Open the door and pulling me in

Sadness like water raining down
Raining down, raining down, raining down
Sadness like water raining down
Raining down, raining down, raining down
Sadness like water raining down
Raining down, raining down, raining down
Sadness like water raining down
Raining down, raining down, raining down
Sadness like water raining down
Raining down, raining down, raining down

Oh, and it's raining
Raining again
Oh, and it's raining
Raining again

And yet, somehow both more and less pretentious than his usual pretentious dreck...
Expected more from him. Will he be able to reach another Play? The instrumental cd is however beautiful. The other one boring.
This is sublimely dreadful.
dag... and here i thought his stuff from "play" and "18" was boring... who knew it could go even further down hill. wake me when it's over.

I was translpanted to the desert from Kirkland, I had the same boots - and I STILL miss the rain.

Hmmm... we're rainin' now for 24 days straight - breakin' records here. Some flooding in the river banks and mudslides, but not as severe as you folks had it. Hawaii anyone?!
Try it here in Phoenix, Arizona. Its been 142 days straight without rain as of March 9, 2006!

Is this song being played for the Northeast? It has rained for 8 straight days here and the weatherman says that we can expect three more before we see the sun. We have a dam in my town that I am afraid will burst. Towns in NH just north of me have been washed away by floods and burst dams. Not quite New Orleans yet, but folks are building house boats instead of homes.....

No is easy. Yes is difficult.

Funny--that happens to me too with Moby. The first time I hear his songs I think they're only so-so, but the more I listen the more I like them.

Sorry but he sounds such a putz. Never understood the popularity. He's always around like a persistent rash.

mediocre at best. moby could fart on a platter and still somehow get radio play at this point.
Not sure the platter's necessary ...
Surprised at the wealth of negative comments about this one. Seems like quite a jolly little ditty to me - not earth-shattering but good in a Lightning Seeds sort of way.
Good concept but not elaborative enough. Just going on and on and on and on and on.....
I have to say upon hearing the opening vocals, They Might Be Giants' "Birdhouse in your Soul" popped in my head.
Too funny. This is the first time I've heard this song, and I had to doublecheck and see that it wasn't a TMBG song. It's OK. It's actually good background music for me.

That is a funny thought. A bit frightening, maybe! I adored Play to the point of burnout. Like ths song. Appreciate the warnings here and elsewhere that Moby's creative days are behind him.
I should use this when I have insomnia. It is very effectivvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv....................

Not tooooooo bad, but it really sounds a bit to much like "Play."

I'm a Radiohead atheist, then.
Please... this is too bad. This guy run out of ideas long ago.

Been listening to "Play" a lot recently. I really liked that CD - and listening to this, I hear the same guitar and like someone else said, the sampler. Play had a bunch of different things on it according to my ears, but not sure I'd want to have another CD full of the same exact stuff.
I have to say upon hearing the opening vocals, They Might Be Giants' "Birdhouse in your Soul" popped in my head. Actually that happened at each little spoken-sung part. The rest of the song was pretty unremarkable in my opinion.

Moby used to be good, then got famous and decided that writing for the lowest common denominator was the best way to make oodles of cash--which it is. ...makes for crappy soulless music like this stuff though...
A little more colorful than his usual dull concoctions.

Yeah, same here!! Only I'm thinking more of Joe Jackson

Amen! most of the best music done these days are written by 40 year olds and older! Event the young guys, some them perform their songs by senior songwriters. We just get better with age (at least most of us do...)
He doesn't seem to get that far without his sampler.
Not exceptional, but acceptable.
I really like this one!
I wonder what he'd look like in a cheap Beatle wig?? :)

Yeah this is pretty good...... ..... jigging away here @ work.
Huh. And here I always thought I didn't like Moby. This one ain't bad.

Bill, how did you know I live in the 'Rainy City'
Moby bores the hell out of me now.
Slightly better than usual. Gets a 4. After Radiohead, almost anything is tolerable.

i agree, very ferdinandy ...
Not too spectacular. Others have done it better. Maybe an off day or something. It almost sounds like he just kept adding stuff to see if it makes it sound better. Kind of like a *way* inferior Tubular Bells.
Weird. This song sounds like a cross between They Might Be Giants and Midnight Oil. Not weird in a good way...
sounds like Ferdinand ...sad
I saw him at Shoreline Amphitheatre before Bowie some years ago and I was surprised to how hard the set was. He was manic, running all over the stage and playing guitar as if it was Black Dog from Led Zep or some AC/DC song.
Sorry. Doesn't work for me..... :headshake:
Simple...This song simply rocks. I could almost imagine Annie Lennox singing a duet.
Ooh, he tried the guitar again...
