"Naked as She Came" is a beautiful song, and you're right, it's very similar.

I'm hearing a lot of what seems like audio compression artifacts in the background on the quieter parts - is it just me? I just looked up the song on Grooveshark and don't hear that, so maybe RP has a badly ripped mp3?

There's some good songwriting here, but I just don't like this guy's voice, and never have.  This track isn't as annoying as some of his stuff, though.  I'll vote 6/10.

For me, the lyrics are really the only redeeming quality of this song; they are beautiful. Unfortunately, I can't get past everything else but I do find this the least offensive of their stuff that I've heard.

I struggle to see how anyone couldn't enjoy Sam Beam's vocals. (Then again, I may be biased, as my singing voice is very similar to his.) I love this whole cd. It's very simple, but very complex at the same time. I also dig the Southern Gothic thing he's got going in the lyrics. I found Sam Beam kind of by accident, and I am very glad I did. An excellent song off an excellent cd.

I'm one week away from my first full week of the summer as a counselor at a youth summer camp (doing 3 weeks in all). After a long day of trying to keep up with the bottomless pits of energy that we know as Middle Schoolers, there's nothing better than a quick shower before lights out and some Iron & Wine on the iPod to lull me to sleep.
