It's an interesting title, that much can be said. A good Souvlaki, space station aside, should have substance, flavor, an enticing aroma, and at least a slight kick to it. None of which are found in this song. Oh, good! It's over.

I really like to run to this song...perfect beat. Their other stuff is good as well; I think some members of this band went on to form Mojave 3. Gee, I really didn't like it on that day. It's a new day and I like it only 0.2 better, so in my book it's jumped to 0.7. A point in this tune's favor... Without stuff like this, I don't appreciate my 7-10's as much.

Throw in some My Bloody Valentine... but no, not identical... Comparing most albums of both bands. CT went softer/poppier... Sigur Ros does the same trick in a way as Slowdive did. For one, CT tends to have more pronounced vocal stylings and way less pronounced fuzzy guitar layers...

I discovered these guys in the early days of the web... a message board where you could vote your fave CD to umm, "get intimate" with. This was #1 (roxy's avalon was, number 2...) Not everyone's cup o' tea, but there's one song on it that actually makes me dizzy if i crank it up enough. And yes, it is a very "useful" CD! Mojave 3's "ask me tomorrow" is pretty -- to me it seems like the companion to neil Young's "harvest". Just something similar about the sense of place they both have, to me.

IMO their best album (third, 1993)... One more followed after which they disbanded into Mojave 3, which has a more acoustic/traditional approach and still make albums...Neil Halstead is the songwriter mostly. Both got a song in the library as well... Slowdive was initially more along the lines of My Bloody Valentine and/or other 'shoe gazers'... Sigur Rós reminds me a lot of Slowdive, with Icelandic flavours added...

Hmmm, very interesting. This CD is ten years old and I've never heard it. I'd like to hear one or two more tracks before I committed to buying it, but this is pretty good stuff.
