Listen close and don't be stoned
I'll be here in the morning
Cause I'm just floating

Your cigarette still burns
Your messed up world will thrill me
Alison, I'm lost

Alison, I said we're sinking
There's nothing here, but that's okay
Outside your room, your sister's spinning
but she laughs and tells me she's just fine
I guess she's out there somewhere

And the sailors, they strike poses
The TV covered walls answer slowly
With your talking and your pills
Your messed up life still thrills me
Alison, I'm lost

Alison, I'll drink your wine
I'll wear your clothes when we're both high
Alison, I said we're sinking
but she laughs and tells me it's just fine
I guess she's out there somewhere

Yup, instant Ho-Hum...

Where does Bill find these dirges?! I couldn't stand to be so near to funeral music so often. Is it strength of character? Or is it madness?

You forgot to say Wonderful, as in: "before they turned into the wonderful Mojave 3!" (which must be the inbetween step to get from jayhawks to slowdive lovely stuff this!
Name of group matches feeling when listening to this song.

Ok now I gotta hand to ya Bill. From Jayhawks to Slowdive. That takes imagination. Of course you've probably replayed this segue many times. You only get credit for one. NO cheating.
sounds like Sean Lennon ED: or Julian
uh? ......wazzat? ..oh...
Almost. Not Quite.
I just bumped this up from 8 to 9 and I can't stop looking at my shoes! Woohoo!!
Wow. I'm really surprised at the lackluster response to this. I loved it - made me stop in my tracks and say "I am REALLY digging this" and look to see who it was. A well-written and well-performed song on the mellow side can grab attention - and deserve it - just as much as something that barrels out of the speakers screaming "LISTEN TO ME!"
Not generating a very good feel. Wandering, limping.

My aim is true....

Great Segue!
Laughably bad. At least turn off the refridgerator motor before you hit "record".
Whoa! Pulling 'em out of the vault today, are we?! Great classic album featuring Neil Halstead himself (Mohave 3, Hope Blister, etc.). Thanks!
The one but last album before they turned into Mojave 3...
