Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know just what you're thinking
Close your eyes and think of me

Larger than life, niceties, bigger than you, more than me
I've got the Monday morning blues and, oh my God, I've got the home for you
And give the everyday morning you use
There's things right here I can't afford to choose

Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know just what you're thinking
Close your eyes and think of me

Sincere, caramel, champagne, down drain, tell him, no gain
It's so damn physical it will sustain and too damn Technicolor to refrain
And much too taxing for my little brain
Why do we never know enough of happy ends? Why do they never show?
All the times that we have been so good at caring, how many times we'll never know

Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know that you've been thinking
Close your eyes and think of me
Close your eyes and lose the feeling that's been sinking
Close your eyes and count to three
Close your eyes, rewind, I know just what you're thinking
Close your eyes and think of me

Packed it like a punch, out to lunch
I got a little hunch that stood out from the bunch
As if that's not enough, I even knew the reason why
That God damn bitch of life, she made me cry
So I'd like to poke her squarely in the eye
And it hurt so much I feel like I could die, yeah

I am just pretending like the lyrics were SUPPOSED to be cheesy there... then I can enjoy the song!

eye - die - why - publish such weenie lyrics?
I was going to say "vapid," but "weenie" will do fine -- though I rather like her voice.

Crazy, I love her voice. Neneh Cherry has an awesome voice, at least that's what I think.

Not the best Groove Armada but still decent. A better CD is the Armada's "Vertigo"

ARG - this track has some sort of little buzz in all the electronic noise bits that sounds like radio interfearance or a short in my earphones.
I think this is fake vinyl noise intentionally mixed into the song. Must be the 'groove' in 'Groove Armada'
For the first few seconds, I thought this was David Gray's 'The Other Side'...
Not bad

had a wonderful thought... add a few lyrical raps from Nelly Furtado (sp?) Her voice would fit right in, and a few of her rapid fire words couldn't hurt..
8O Ugh. Leave Nelly out of this -- it's good just as it is.

almost cut my hair happened just the other day...
I had to log in just rate this song a 2...Lyrics written by someone as if they had an 8th grade education level drive me up a wall. Too bad because I liked the music... Buy a keyboard and toss together some cliches, you too can make music.
what is this.......I like it!
Must say I love Groove Armada, mainly their slower stuff, and this one is no exception.
Great - like it - sounds very classy!! One more for the shopping list.
This is the first track I heard with Neneh Cherry in a very long time. I really like her voice.
Cool song :)
I agree!
Lyrics could be better, but quite likeable - 7
