did I just climb out of my time machine and step into my high school days? Surely a classic. thanks Bill :-)
Holy crap I forgot about this song...takes me right back to highschool.

I had the PFP Tahitian Moon album and I think it sucked if I remember right. Maybe that was during their demise.

This song was pretty cool though...
When IBM'sWatson won on Jeopardy!, this song kept running through my head...{#Jump}

thanks bill , almost forgot this little gem
It´s such a silly song, and it´s a masterpiece. 100% Perfect pop!
Great transition from "Lovecats"!!! :)
Excellent! One year at Lollapalooza Perry sang this on the Kidz Stage. Hilarious!

{#Lol} One of the best ever on RP...

He stormed off, and Eric Avery and Dave Navarro talked for a few seconds then just went back to playing w/o him. It was an awesome show w/o Perry.

I meant to listen more closely, but got distracted.  Is "We'll make great pets" (the accent shifted slightly with each repetition) really the only lyric to that song?
I love this song, but I played this CD so much in my 20's that I can't stand it now.
Ahhh... the mid-90s! Some good tunage to mine from that time, for sure! {#Dancingbanana_2}

Wow, I'd totally forgotten about this song.  Havent heard it in years.  I was never a Porno for Pyros fan, but this song has a great groove and cracks me up at the same time!
Love this song, especially the guitar.
I´m living a kind of infierno. This is the music that i need: Dave Brubeck, Quetzal (new for me), The Cure and the wonderful Porno for Pyros theme, Thanks Bill... from "el tercer mundo"... Un uomo finito...
I always thought they said, "you make me sick."

He may have been a great front man and a bit of a visionary... but his voice sucked ass.  He sounds like a 14 year old and he can barely carry a note.  A good song tho.  The band is generally overrated in my opinion.

Nonsense. Perry is one of the best front men ever in rock and roll.  He MADE the shows.

Oy! Haven't heard this in so long! Wonderful groove and no-so-subtle-yet-wonderful lyrics :)

Interesting, their album "Live and Rare" has a track with Perry complaining about some guy throwing a Birkenstock: "Oh, there's that same a****** again. I thought it would never come to this. But the guy threw a Birkenstock! I mean this guy is a real moron. He doesn't even understand fashion!"
I thought Perrys work on and in the cd Prayer Cycle was brilliant, as was the cd itself with its many artists and components.
I like this one. Always have. Jane's Addiction was always a favorite band of mine. "Been Caught Stealing" was my favorite of theirs.

Fuck yeah!
I've always liked Jane's Addiction, but didn't really care for this song when it first came out. It grew on me, though, and I really like it now. my friend says we're like the dinosaurs only we are doing ourselves in much faster than they ever did

Love the bass playing. Great guit sound too. In fact, the whole track is 'outstanding'!
Man...I used to start my sets with this song way back in the day. Love it!

PERRY! Biggest weirdo I ever had a crush on...
Good song, even better album.
These guys defined the mid-90s for me
Nice music for a lazy rainy day.

That does indeed say it all. I feel pity.
That initial bass line is similar to Pink Floyd's "One Of These Days"
Somehow this wasn't so damn annoying back in 1993.

That first line struck me funny. This song makes me happy.

for some reason in my life i often find myself singing this song. i don't particularly love it, but it's nice to hear it here. maybe i really just want a pet?? maybe i should get a pet.
Great album overall from PFP considering that all we wanted was more Jane's. The recent JA album 'Strays' should never have been made.

Lyrics get repeated in a lot of songs, sometimes for valid musical reasons. You should check out Subterranean Homesick Blues, I think you'd like that one.
Not my favorite PFP song, but I give it an 8 anyway out of respect for Jane's Addiction. A real trip would be digging up Jane's Addiction's cover of "Ripple" from the Grateful Dead tribute album. It's outstanding.

Man, Stephen Perkins is a great drummer. And Perry Farrell is just... Perry Farrell, I suppose. icon_wink.gif
That's about right, the drums are what gets me about this song. You don't hear a lot of beats that can immediately tell you what song you're listening to anymore, this was one of those. That said, Perry Farrell never really did it for me.

I like the jangling airiness to the accompaniment. It somehow reminds me of a less appreciated alternative groove-- Mutilated Lips, by Ween. I'd upload it, except my bit rate's too low.
brings me back to a time when alternative music really was alternative.
one of the perfect songs, not my opinion, but fact and to spice it up you can change lyrics to either: "we'll make great sex" or "we'll eat tex-mex"
I don't know if we'd make great pets -- but we should be.
I didn't like this when it came out, but I sure do now. children are innocent a teenager's fucked up in the head adults are even more fucked up and elderlies are like children will there be another race to come along and take over for us? maybe martians could do better than we've done we'll make great pets! my friend says we're like the dinosaurs only we are doing ourselves in much faster than they ever did we'll make great pets!
you know. i've tried to like this song for about a year, now, and it's just not working for me. sorry.
i would love to hear Meija, Orgasm, Black Girlfriend, Sadness... all from the same album. Perry rocks.

you can't not like this song double negatives are fun
great album, great song (pimp)
