I was standing in a graveyard
Under silver studded skies
In a forest burning ashes
On the bonfires of our lives

As the sky fell down
I was lost and found
Saw my world spin round
Round and round

All the ghosts have gathered round me
Come to tell me of a change
In the darkness that surrounds me
I am falling down again

On this haunted ground
I am lost and found

Lost
Lost and found
Lost
Lost and found

She will tell you her cathedral
Has no windows and no doors
And you know she doesn't need you
And that's why you want her more

As your heart melts down
You are lost not found

Lost
Lost and found
Lost
Lost and found

I was counting all the tombstones
Of the buried boys and girls
As the wind blew in like ice
And froze this cemetery world

And we all fell down
We were lost and found

Lost
Lost and found
Lost
Lost and found

FYI—this cut is not on the GH disc "Songs to Learn and Sing" shown up top, it's on the self titled 1987 album with Lips Like Sugar.

La-la-la-la-la...
My least favorite Echo tune... (but still not that bad - a "4")
Love the Bunnymen...really really dislike the gray album. With the exception of Bedbugs and Ballyhoo. It hurts me...but I can only rate this as average. Play more songs from Ocean Rain!

Shouldn't take long to learn the lyrics. . . .

They do! And hopefully they will be uploaded soon.
While no "Ocean Rain" by any stretch, I've always been fond of this collection of tunes. Lost and Found is definitive of this album. Another great example of Wil Sargeant's signature guitar technique and Ian's ever-so English wordplay and delivery.
Interesting...it appears E&TB have had all of their albums remastered and released at the end of Jan 04. Any comments on quality vs. original? I may have to visit Amazon again soon... A good tune from Ian and the boys, though I though earlier works (Porcupine and Ocean Rain) contained stronger tracks.

I will always be a huge EATB fan...there was something so unique about their style and Ian McCullough's voice. I'm glad Bill gives them lots of airplay!
Lost, indeed--which is where this song should remain, IMHO.
