this isn't their best, there's much more that is better - but OMG they put on such a great show live. and Karin can outsing Sheryl any day. SO much less nasally and less whiney than Sheryl. thank goodness.

Great band. At the grave risk of having to move the family into smaller quarters, I need to invest in their work. Oh, we wouldn't move into a smaller place. Quite the contrary, we'd move into a larger place to accommodate my music collection. The family has to make do with whatever's left over. Hey, sometimes life throws you a curve.

OTR always makes me smile. Got to see them again in early July at Lifest in Oshkosh, WI. It was a really scaled back set with just a drummer. I think it was the same guy on this album, Ohio.

RP's playing of this song led me to buying this album, and finally seeing OTR in concert not that long ago. This particular track is better on the album, but almost every other song was superb in concert. My best concert value in ages.

I liked it. I'm pretty simple, though - "What Iyam is what Iyam - are you whatchooare or what?" I just get into the moment and like songs or don't like them. Sorry I can't contribute to the higher intelligence of music structure and background and its relevance to the importance of whether or not a song is "good."

I don't know if I could name a Cher song other than Believe, Turn Back Time and I Got You Babe, but I think those three songs in themsleves might well qualify as "too much Cher" So I think he's got me. THis is my first day here. I can't express how impressed I am with the website this station and the concept in general. Just excellent.

Well if you want to compare the Queen City to other countries around the world--particularly third-world countries--you have a point. And I'm glad you get to travel. mmmm .... definitely liking Over the Rhine more with the passing of time ... the affinity was there from the beginning, and it's nice to find there is some depth, too. Some things are tasty on the outside and the inside. Okay, that said, message for Bill: Can you please play a few different tunes from this album? Or another album? In fact here's a crazy idea -- take a random 10% of the songs in current rotation, and pick -another- song from the same album. It's my only, small complaint as I continue to regularly listen to RP ... the exploration I would like to hear of an album is not there. Does RP suffer from the same restrictions on the number of songs of an artist that can be played per hour per album, etc.? I heard them for the first time on NPR a month or so ago. Picked up the CD in a flash ( through RPs link Bill ) Outstanding talent. There are a few cuts that remind me so much of Lucinda Williams. I can't wait to see them live.

being from cincinnati, i just have to add props for one of our local bands. :) a little over the rhine trivia: the band is named for a neighborhood of downtown cincy. cincy traditionally has a very large german population.

We have followed OtR for many years, and they just keep getting better(very personable in concert, too). Good beginner's LP would be Good Dog, Bad Dog. btw, they opened for Cowboy Junkies on a recent tour (they appear in the Junkies' tour DVD).
