Such a lovely voice, so lilting and easy, like life ought to be. Light laying gentle waves.
EXCELLENT!  The more I hear it, the more I like it.  Thanx RP!

Right!! I knew it sounded familiar.

Gave it a 9 right out of the box.  Truly a wonderfully smothe musical journey.
this is the first time I've ever heard it.

it's so pretty - I love it . . .

I Agree!  6am Monday here!

Thank goodness it's up to 6.3!!! Still deserves better for the soprano sax alone
I heard him live in Mpls, MN at The Cedar (best music venue in usa). In '09 I think it was. Bought a CD and he signed it and it says 'thank you for your heart.'

The sax alone...
This is beautiful :)
While it sounds like it belongs on an "easy listening" station, I found it very soothing and enjoyable.  I especially enjoyed that it carried the artists country of origin's musical influence.  Such a mellow..

Funny, sometimes I enjoy a song more simply cuz the comments are "funny" - so I'll go +1 to 6 for the sake of the comments.  And to say "I'm OK with this CARPPY tune" LLRP!!

God! Stop all the reductionist carping, and just listen. Good singing, good playing. It's good, i'n'it?

I thought it was Nightswimming with Dave Matthews Band Sax and different vocals.

CARP CARP CARP :P
Oy, that honking tenor Kenny G sax!

.....great to see comments from 2010. I started listening in 2004 and never left this "Paradise"of eclectic music.
Definitely "Nightswimming" with guest appearance from Kenny G.
Sounds like "Nightswimming" by REM

Hey, we could use that idea about the USA, and the UK, and everywhere else in the world...! Or am I just an old Hippie..... I love it. Beautiful!

Amen to that! You're not the only one brother...or sister!{#Sunny}

What would we do without Radio Paradise bringing us such a great mix of music, I'm constantly surprised at the variety. Different is good. Good music is good music and RP nails it. My karma grows.
It's a shame that anytime someone uses a soprano sax in a piece, they have to deal with the Kenny G comparisons. This is a nice little tune.

Where did this song come from?  I feel like I am in a waiting room for something I do not want to wait for
Sounds a little too much like Kenny G if he had collaborated with Peter Gabriel (during his Africa phase).  Please leave this song out.
Working late at the office and enjoying this one.  For a second I thought it was Hawaiian.

Hey Bill!  Could you play a little Izzie in this set.

Sure would make the work go easier.

I must admit the "Kenny G" sax thang kinda puts an all-too-familiar glaze on this track, but there's an honesty to this that is sorely missing from the strip-mall variety.

It really is a shame that some forms of music are ruined for some of us by the "Star Maker Machinery."

I just try not to let it get to me, and enjoy things for what they really are.

(Sadly, it doesn't always work, though.)

Really nicely said. Thank you.

(I don't know when this came out, but sometimes things are very fresh when the first emerge and get stale with copying... maybe that is part of what you were saying...)

Not terrible, would like to listen to this laying on a hamock in the back yard with a cold one. Not in my CUBE trying to work. Just makes me sleepy....

Dark Continent Mike Post fodder? I normally dismiss such easy listening, but this is just right for a lazy afternoon.
reminder: eclectic online radio it means variety this is wonderful

I don't understand the word's,but I sure like the guitar!!!!!!!!!!

oy. i hear that awful, whining Kenny G sound.
Oof. This blows.
Pleasant
I like a lot of the world music played on RP, but I agree with many of the comments below. This doesn't seem to have any real soul or heart. It's like something John Tesh would spawn after watching the Lion King.
I hear a bit of "100 Years" by Five For Fighting and a little of "Nightswimming" by R.E.M. in there.

Nope, Tenor and Soprano Sax. And get this ... He is called Kenny G because his last name is "Gorelick" HAHAHAHAHAHA
I like this one. I've been looking for some African music like this.

Sweetness, even if I do agree w/ the sentiments about the sax.

this is going on way too long
Where's Paul Simon when you need him? Just kidding. Actually, I like this as it is.

try Toumani Diabate's "Kulanjan" (Hannibal 1999), which was voted Folk Roots "Album of the Year" in the UK. Taj Mahal and a friend of mine from high school (1892?) played on it. sweet, but not syrupy.
Subtitles or no... I think I like this one. A 6.

:) I thought the operative words were "Eclectic" and "Intelligent"? If Bill played more of the "same ol'" it would just be a boring regular station...I don't listen to RP to hear the same good old rock and roll (although what is played is for the most part of the finest), nor should you. The different stuff is why I listen. The things not played to death on "Normal Radio" is why. The things you will never hear in even a large city with several colleges are why. :)

This is pretty..........Did I hear this is 'The Lion King'? It's sort of Lebo M lite! :)
I was thinking that, too. Love Lebo M - his "Lion King" CD is practically impossible to find - I got mine from E-Bay. Disney is pretty tight-fisted with it, for some reason... I'm really starting to get into the music of South Africa - lots of rich, joyous vocals and inventive rhythms. I still think my favorite song is "One by One" by Lebo M and the South African Choir - a cappella. It takes my breath away...

Very Disney World-ish. Kind of enjoyable, but I'm starting to hear it too often here.
this is more like it. i'd rather hear this than that annoying "when you come back" song. but i must say, do not overplay this one like the other one gets overplayed. i'd probably like the other one better if i didn't hear it every day.
hmmm...sounds like Don Ho & Kenny G. together at last....
Thanks for smooth jazzing me. Please goose me some more with Kenny G like sax honks.

yes, very enjoyable, no matter where it "takes" us...and if you're going to go anywhere, those forests and waterfalls would be near the top of my list, though adding a few snow-capped peaks would be nice. I look forward to hearing this again in Paradise.
What a nice track. Was sitting, relaxing with a glass of wine and it seemed to suit my mellow mood. Wonder what he is saying?
Very lovely, beautiful arrangement (and yes I do hear something like the "Night Swimming" progressions in there), while the soaring sax melody reminds me more of Paul McCandless of Oregon. Rich and unexpected mix, but it really works. A new RP discovery.
Perhaps we could reduce the amount of "World" music that's being played on RP? How about some more good ol' fashioned rock & roll?
at the beginning of this song, i thought it was a different version of REM's night swimming. i don't know about anyone else, but i can hear it in my head over top of the african lyrics. neat song.
Not crazy about this.

Lovely piece of African Music, very cool. It's good to see foreigns artists recording regional music on their natural languages, it's a wind of refreshment for local culture! <>s Setzer
I always enjoy the world music I hear in the mix here at RP!
