I never thought I'd grow up so fast, so far
To know yourself is to let yourself be loved
And I wanna be addicted
I wanna be secure
I wanna wake up after the night before
But do you get me?
Do you ever get me?

And I'll press your hand against my face
Weaken my resistance
And I'll pull the sheets over our heads
Let the broken sky break above our heads

And I wanna be addicted
I wanna be secure
I wanna wake up after the night before
But do you get me?
Do you ever get me?

Shower me with affection and I'll return in kind
I have no hidden motive, I am blind
I'm a stone inside a box
I'm a spring inside a clock
You can wear me on your wrist
And I'll tell you things ten thousand times
But do you ever get me?
Do you ever get me?

You've given me another reason to appreciate Cynaera. Thank you.
Well, you know ...  those people from Hull, they're, you know  ... different ...
New album coming out in 2023 according to Tracy Thorn: https://twitter.com/tracey_tho...
What a stupendously good track from a stupendously good album!

Love Tracy Thorn...  She is an amazing person.
Sounds a little like Fleetwood Mac.  But just a little.  Nice tune.
Hey steely_dan, maybe that next breathtaking glance from a total stranger will be THE ONE  ; )
Unfortunately, this ties me to a love that completely fell apart. She turned me on to this tune, and now it's just plain difficult to hear. She's a phone call away, but that call will never happen.
I like this because the lyrics are great - to know yourself is to let yourself be loved.  How wise :-)
Love her voice...
Wow!  An immediate 9 upon the first listen.

Still waiting for a vinyl release... Brilliant album!

So. Fine.

It truly is Cynaera.  You always did recognize heart and quality.
Would really like to hear something from the 'Baby, The Stars Shine Bright' album.

Goodbye Ann. We miss you.
The song of one heart breaking...
..ima try to get her..smoove 8 to start..

..also, whazzup w/the seeming abdomen-fixation of the disc cover?.. :P

Groovy and relaxing!

GOOD!!

Oh, gosh, what a beautiful voice. What she may lack in technical ability she more than makes up in warmth and tone.

lpve it, and traditionally i dislike female vocalists.

Yes indeed. Some of it is a little dated, but maybe only because I practically wore the pits off this CD when it came out.

That voice is just so right. Not perfect, but right.

edit: Dammit, this is REALLY not the first song I needed to hear this morning. I love it, sure, but the timing couldn't be much worse.

The "smoothness" of this song gives me chills!
