Long live rock-n-roll !!
BRMC was one of the loudest live shows I've ever seen.  Very small venue. Great show
Jeez, I rushed over to crank this up - I really dig 'Alice in Chains'.... but it's not. Ha!
Some songs are just best played loud. Like this one.
I'm so glad that one day many years ago, I was searching for Dandy Warhols music and found BRMC.
Why wasn't this on my radar in 2001?? So good.

They are levels above the Smithereens
Wall of Guitars with a great groove....Hell Yah!
Oh yeah! Will catch them live Wednesday!

RP running in the background. Had to check and see if it was something I didn't know by Love and Rockets

I'm a big BRMC fan, learned of them on RP. Recently attended one of their shows and I was really disappointed... crushed, in fact. While it was fun to finally see them and experience their live raw energy, it was maybe the loudest concert I've ever been to. So loud that it was hard to hear the music, much less hear the vocals or even discern the individual  instruments. A lot of people left early, way early.

ALWAYS take ear plugs. You can still hear the show, just without the pain.
I would have been deaf by the age of 18 if I didn't.

This song rocks it hard...musically-sensuous...this is a sizzling live-wire of perfection here...This song made me a fan... Thanks, RP!

I have grown to love BMRC. While I can't get enough of Pink Floyd, Old Alice Cooper, Genesis, P-tree and the like, BMRC has that raw, not overly produced almost garage band sound that is simply awesome! Once again RP has cost me more money.
Had to bump to an 8 love that guitar! {#Bananajam}

Wall of Sound. Love the lead guitar and the dark atmosphere.

I find nothing redeeming in this cut.

Man, when the guitar first kicks in, WOW! and then when the other one comes in and they jam together, WHOAH!  I fell in love with this when it first came out and I have to admit it STILL rocks me mighty well every time I hear it...  Sonic bliss!

Reminds me of a Zappa song.
Love these guys. I think this is my favorite BRMC album.

I agree...I had to look to see who this was. Most times BRMC is sort of ho-hum (to me at least).
Nice!!

No more kill, no more kill, I'm in love

The frontman for BRMC (Robert Levon Been) is the son of Michael Been.  He tours with them as their sound engineer,

You may remember him from the group "The Call".  They had hits in the 80's such as - Everywhere I Go, I Still Believe, & Let the Day Begin.

I like this.  Reminds me of Love & Rockets. {#Motor}
Wish I had remembered my iPod on this trip I'm on to the East Coast (bonehead). And wish I had this on my iPod for my impending workout. Very catchy, right to the end.

The show is awesome. I just saw them in Atlanta last week. I have been to 7 of their shows and this was the best one yet.

They remind me of The Cult. Only in so much as I generally don't like the type of music (whatever you call it), but I do like The Cult and BRMC, or at least the two BRMC songs I've heard so far on RP.
Oh yeah! Gotta crank this one!~

Yup...good..really good...really really goood I guess I like it Huh?
this band is cool. I really expected them to blow up by now. Selfishly, I am glad they haven't.
The layered guitars always remind me of The Stone Roses. These guys definitely hold their own though. This is one of the rare albums that I can listen to from beginning to end and really love every song. Too bad nobody cares, other than the fact WE can still see these guys in tiny little clubs.
Haven't heard drumming, real drumming, this good in decades. Really carries the backbeat.

Yeah, Bauhaus...that's the first thing that came to my mind.
I almost feel compelled to give this a 10 just for the kick-ass name of this band.
Yeah, these guys are good, I like their other album better, tho, a lot more rockin' and melodic, not quite so dark and heavy.
frankydee wrote:

Yep. This is why I like it. Good rockin' groove with an "alternative" touch.

i saw them open for spiritualized. really great show - intense. definitely go see them.

They opened for the Dandy Warhols in Cincy a couple of years ago, and although I had never heard of them prior to the concert (and had been burned on any number of bad openers so I was totally skeptical), I thought they were great - a lot of fun. I'd pay to see 'em again - Dandys, too, of course.
I truly dig this. Sort of Stone Roses meets Love & Rockets with a hint of The Cars thrown in for flavor. Yeah I want to hear more. Now please.
