I'm a high school lover,
and you're my favorite flavor.
Love is all, all my soul.
You're my Playground Love.

Yet my hands are shaking.
I feel my body reeling,
times no matter, I'm on fire.
On the playground, love.

You're the piece of gold
that flashes on my soul.
Extra time, on the ground.
You're my Playground Love.

Anytime, anywhere,
You're my Playground Love.

Air. My first "adult" group. Thanks Dad! You rock!

This post rocks!  Thanks, photomuse.
Vocals remind me of Mark Linkous.  Looking it up, the singer on the song is Gordon Tracks (an alias of Thomas Mars, the lead singer for the band Phoenix).  He also co-wrote and played drums on the song.
Love that cover art!

Really like this tune...just wishing' the saxophone wasn't sharp. Ugh...
Sharp?!? Sounds beautifully creamy smooth to me, and I PLAY Sax btw! Sounds like you need new speakers/ears!

This track is embellished with ultra cool sax, bringing with it the cruising, comfort of sensual vocals. Love it!
2000. Mix tape. 87 Subaru wagon. Driving through the fog on the Great Highway checking surf at Ocean Beach and wondering if  I should freeze, get coffee or go see my girlfriend who is now my wife.
Quand le simple reste l'essentiel {#Notworthy}
The beginning often makes me think a Hooverphonic song is coming along... I like it well, as I do most songs by Air. Nice smooth vibe.
My least favorite of the AIR songs played on RP.

There are 29 AIR songs in the playlist (27 if I remove the doubles) and quite a few of them are played regularly.

Here you are the 29 songs list that Bill plays in Radio Paradise (and day by day, list is long).

And a strange but good movie (with a cool soundtrack).

When the kids are heading down to the party in the basement and Todd Rundgren's "A Dream Goes On Forever" starts playing….

Goosebumps.

Another of my favorites Sloan also on the soundtrack.
When I first heard about Napster downloading back in the day, it was with regard to this song.
great Song! for everyone how like it, Listen that Song from Pink Floyd -the Great Gig in the Sky.
Great Movie, Hearing this song makes me want to see the movie again!

Believe it or not, Pink Floyd did not invent that sort of vocal phrasing.  To me, it's more reminiscent of T. Rex than it is of Pink Floyd - especially in the melody.  Singers have probably phrased like that since the 1940s.  We all hear different things, of course, and no song's comment thread here would be complete without at least one "lifted/stolen/ripped-from-Pink-Floyd" comment.  Apparently Pink Floyd is the only musical point of reference for a lot of people here.
Love this song and album.
Beautiful segway into Air...wow.....

Possibly because its one of their tunes with an outside singer.
I concur. Perfect segue.

Yes and no.  No, because I suspect the 'influences' pre-date both bands.

But that's a nice compliment.  And yes, Air is worthy. :-)

Oh yeah... and that continues throughout the rest of this album. I also hear it on 'How does it make you feel?' and 'Radian' from their album '10,000 Hz Legend'.

Its the DSOTM horn, I think. To me, this is 'somewhere down the coincidence river'.

I've heard a couple of other cuts off of this album, and though I like this, my favorite is the utterly haunting 'Empty House.' That's just about the saddest, most beautiful instrumental tunes ever.
Nice nice set: engineers, now air (with THIS one !), TBGT, Over the Rhyne... !
I like their peppier stuff a lot more, like Alpha Beta.
If you like this song, go see "Virgin Suicides", Sophia Coppola's first movie if you haven't. Dreamy, beautiful and slightly disturbing, just like this song.
Air. My first "adult" group. Thanks Dad! You rock!
I like this MUCH better than "Cherry Blossom Girl". Nice groove. Great sax.

I was searching through the quotes on this song looking for a similar voice of Elliot Smith. I thought this was a "lost Elliot" track that I some how missed. Only Elliot is missing.
Have to dig up this CD. Haven't heard it in years. Just perfect for hot summer afternoons.
air are great composers!... I adore their vintage sounds.... lol
This set is soooooo drifty'n'dreamy, goes really well with my mellow afternoon siesta swingin' in the hammock ... Playground Love, agh ............
floating away mid day...
Reminds me of.... Good Times..

the sax...too smooth
One of many examples of songs/artists I may have never heard had they not been on commercials. Didn't realize it was on the Virgin Suicides soundtrack as well...I'll have to check that movie out!
Hmmm... sounds vaguely salacious and criminal in intent (underage love, anyone?), but maybe it's just the French accent....

Yeup. Very welcome at this early moment in the day.
I'm listening to RP for the first time ever this evening (it's 21.20) and love the playlist, but that AIR song was incredible. Just stunned
I love this soundtrack. Good song!
Great chill track. The Virgin Suicides was a sad movie tho. But Air is a brilliant duo. Moon Safari rocks!
Super. Yet another great song this morning. I'm realy enjoying RP today!
I never knew this was Air! Dig it.
This film was a surprise knockout. The 70's songs they used , in those scenes , were phenomenally well-placed. A lot of work had to go into that . Don't honestly remember any non-70's tunes... well done nonetheless.
Love this song. Love the movie. Bravo.

nice...puts me right back in the dreamy world of the film
sounds like sultry background music. i like it. :)
Very smokey sounding. I like it.
Yeah, do a Levi\'s commercial block! Next up...Tainted Love
i like this band...and this tune is used in my 2nd favourite Levi\'s commercial as well. :D
Does anyone else think the lead singer sounds like Marc Bolan?

They didn't play much from Moon Safari and only this song from The Virgin Suicides soundtrack. Most of the show's material was from 10,000 Hz Legend which is more playable in a live, rock-show setting. They have a DVD of live performances from the Moon Safari era, but I've heard it's kinda boring (visually)
now this is some very fine music. I love it.
Great song from a great movie. Saw them play this one live last year.
