So who is this song written by? I have a great version by Nick Lowe on my computer that I really like - it's better than this version for sure. So I just assumed it was Nick's song. Is it? Maybe a Rockpile tune or something. The version I have is so great. I love EC but this sounds boring by comparison.

This sounds funny. Would be a 9 if it was the original (or the version I know better). EDIT: Oh, yeah, Dave Edmunds as someone said. Not the original but better. Though E.C. is great - especially his earliest work.

Huh? This was penned by Declan McManus himself. I agree. I like the mix on RP, and that necessarily includes stuff of which I am not personally fond. I'm may be dissatisfied with a selection here and there, but I like the variety and I like being surprised, pleasantly or otherwise.

March 8th in Charlotte, NC - Grady Cole Center. Going to be good - can't wait! Thinking about the Linda Ronstadt version - a friend of mine and I were talking at lunch last week about all the "older" artists who thought they had to come out with "punk" or "new wave" albums in the late 70's to try and stay hip. The Linda Ronstadt album was one that came to mind.

As sung by Dave Edmunds, this song is fresh & catchy - one of my all time favorites. As sung by Elvis, well, I dunno - it sounds a bit mechanical.
