Look out of my window
See the world passing by
See the look in her eye

One more time to live and I have made it mine
Leave the wise to write for they write worldy rhymes
And he who wants to fight begins the end of time
For I have riches more than these
For I have riches more than these

Desolation
Creation        (Tell me someone why there's only confusion)
Evolution       (Tell me someone that this is all an illusion)
Pollution        (Tell me someone)
Saturation      (Tell me someone)
Population
Annihilation
Revolution       (Tell me someone why this talk of revolution)
Confusion       (Tell me someone when we're changing evolution)
Illusion           (Tell me someone)
Conclusion     (Tell me someone)
Starvation
Degredation
Humiliation           (Changes in my life)
Contemplation      (Changes in my life)
Inspiration            (Changes in my life)
Elation                 (Changes in my life)
Salvation

Solution

Look out on the hedgerow
As the world rushes by
Hear the birds sing a sigh

One more tree will fall how strong the growing vine
Turn the earth to sand and still commit no crime
How one thought will live provide the others die
For I have riches more than these
For I have riches more than these

Yes, for those who don't like the song these ones apply;

aggravation, irritation, vexation, exasperation. {#Lol} Not one of their best, I don't mind it but I understand the dislike.

god aweful song... but funny comment string
I never know what people mean when they say that a song or group is "pretentious".
Just manged to reduce it by one more decimal point!
pleh.
The rating is dropping as it's playing.
Running thru a field of daisies, sun basking on my face then I fell into a big pile of crap. Rated a 2

Back in the 70's there was a local band that covered this song and  they'd replace all the words with stuff like that in their concerts....

There are a lot of words that rhyme with 'ation'.

Intolerable. Mute.
What the #)(&%?  MUTE.  Acck Phht.
This has a high coefficient of suck. {#Frustrated}

Progressive rock is just like that sometimes.

This was always my favorite Moodies album cover.  Love that painting.

Awful. An appropriate follow-up to the Flaming Lips. {#Lol}

I generally avoid posting negative comments, but that was one of the most pretentious and hollow songs I've ever heard.  So much so that it's almost funny, but not quite.  Horrible.

The mind reels with sarcastic replies, as in

"If you can't spell it properly, then . . . (supply your own ending)"

It was about this time that my attention started to wander—besides Led Zep came out with ZOSO and everyone's attention started to wander...

In a word yup.. And he put it in a much better song.
There's a lot of really good Moody Blues music.

Then there's this.

Most appropriate 2 (marginal) rating I've ever given.

I think only the first few albums of the Moodies hold up, then, like this one, get sappy. Still good to hear it though; it takes me back to my little attic room at Kent State.

And the title:
EGBDF

chords

Yes, I can see thata their music looses a lot if you listen to it sober ;-)

I loved the Moodies back in the day, but this doesn't hold up very well. It feels like Adam Sandler should kick in with Opera Man at any moment.
i would rate this a zero if i could

Another good rainy-sort-of-day song. But then again, so is most Moody Blues music.

I just got flashed back to my little attic room in Kent, Ohio, where I listened to this album at least 100 times.

Try your local agricultural product (judging from your location).  It helps to enjoy the music.

Did they just say ovulation?
I often felt uncomfortable—though still delighted—with the overproduced sound of the Moody Blues.  But the overproduction on this song leaves me merely uncomfortable, not delighted at all.  Oh, well...
Excellent song from an excellent album.
Did they run out of words that end in "shun?"  I think that about covers it.  Dog-ear, that is too funny!  It took me a minute to get it.

Or the American version of the mnemonic for the lines of the treble staff: Every Good Boy Does Fine.

My favorite: Procrastination.

and don't forget . . . Alliteration
Great album from one of my alltime favourite groups - thanks!
Beatiful song from my alltime favorite group and the covers still blows my mind!
