Cajun moon
Where does your power lie
As you move
Across the southern sky
You took my babe
Way too soon
What have you done
Cajun moon

Someday babe
When you want your man
And you find him gone
Just like the wind
Don't trouble your mind
Whatever you do
'Cause Cajun moon
Took him from you

Cajun moon
Where does your power lie
As you move
Across the southern sky
You took my babe
Way too soon
What have you done
Cajun moon

When daylight fades
The night comes on
You can hear the silence
Of this song
Don't trouble your mind
Whatever you do
'Cause he got me
Like he got you

Cajun moon
Where does your power lie
As you move
Across the southern sky
You took my babe
Way too soon
What have you done
Cajun moon

We don't have that mode.

We do recycle music sets, yes. We prefer that to random computer-generated playlists.

Random is not the same as computer generated.  And btw "random numbers" generated by computers are not random.
Never ages this - what a master of his trade!!

Bill, what a lovely, calm response to an utterly rude post.

Goo?
Goo Tune!
I've always loved that funky keyboard in the background on this great song, maybe one of my favorites by him...
I keep thinking this is Eric Clapton.
J.J., or John, was my Bff's neighbor and a hell of a nice guy. Always a plus when they're so talented. My Bff just knew him as John, and didn't make him out to be anything other than her neighbor. When I met him, I pulled her aside and educated her on who he was, which changed nothing in her eyes. He was and will always be her sweet neighbor and yoga friend. RIP J.J.

Amen, Brother and Sister!!  And I echo the "let JJ know we love his music" - I'm going 8 to 9 on this track....it's time....Long Live RP!!

Currently in "set it and forget it" mode, huh?

What a song, what a man. A true musical genius that will be sadly missed. RIP J.J. - your music will live forever!

......... oh yes
Truly one of the greats. He was shy and preferred to stay out of spotight, didn't like touring. RIP!
JJ, the man who made a good living laying down demo grooves for people who usually did not do his music justice. That's the way I see it anyway.
J.J. Cale... takes me back to Tulsa... not a bad thing.

Rest in peace

Same three again just now. Nice segue!
Why oh why did I not start listening to JJ Cale earlier .... ??
Man this guy knows what he's doing.

As for the playlist, I could go for some Yellow Moon by the Neville Brothers .... eh?  Nice so far though!

We need Spanish Moon to follow this!

Looks like he took your suggestion.

Now Playing:
Little Feat - Spanish Moon
J.J. Cale - Cajun Moon
Van Morrison - Moondance

We need Spanish Moon to follow this!
Oh yeah...
Have I just heard Cale, Clapton and Knopfler in this set?  Many nice crossroads...

Best description ever!

JJ Cale has made some of the most irresistible boogie music ever put to disk.
One of my all time favorites from JJC. {#Meditate}
Prefer the "Naturally" album version, but still a 9.

This is why I listen to RP.
This is nice. I was raised outside New Orleans though... :)

Too true, infinitely preferable to the previous artist.
I'd forgotten how good this is.
JJ good!
Randy Crawford does a great cover of this, too.
New comments, I see. He and EC have an album out since the last go-round here. Not bad. In an interview, JJ Said it was said of him that he only writes one song. That may be true, but its a good one- it has sustained his career into its 5th decade.

Cale gets such a great vibe on his songs sometimes. Warm and lazy and comfortable, really great...
:) :) :)
This sort of music/lyrics always sound very true/real, just because its (seemingly) simplicity (the same with somebody like John Fogerty). At the same time you get the feeling there\'s something \'deeper\' going on, like there\'s a story behind it.
I love J.J. Cale. I know his lyrics are pretty simplistic, but it\'s the lead and rhythm guitars that make his songs so good.
