this is memories of one of the very first albums I ever purchased - lovely memories of a sweeter time
Nothing less than Awesome. Takes me back to my youth that I fondly remember. Ms King knew how to do it.
Lovely song/production, I love how the small playing errors have been perfectly left.
The line "Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?" plays the heartstring and opens the eye faucets everytime

One of the albums I remember being in my mother's collection when I was a very young boy. It's almost strange to hear it now almost 50 years later... damn, I've been here a while.
I wish I could say this was the first album I ever bought, but it was the second. What a great songwriter.
Great memories from this one. It's such a lovely album. It was ubiquitous in sophomore year of high school when I first met the love of my life who has been my husband for 40 years.
What an amazing song writer and when she sings for us...so lovely. I loved this album. And I love the kitty too. Just makes me feel warm all over.
Was 11 in 1971 and our 6th grade Music Teacher was hell-bent on us learning
'You've got a Friend', from this album. I still wake up in a cold sweat, screaming.
The picture below, of King and Taylor, moments ago caused me to make an
appointment with my Therapist. I can't be seen until after Christmas though.

There was a brilliant little microcosm of pop songwriting around this time, Carole King, James Taylor, Elton John.I was a rocker, never listened to them, but now, forty-plus years later, there is no denying the quality of the songwriting.
There was a time if you wanted to establish yourself as a sensitive new man type of guy you could do worse that put this album on at the end of a first date.

For a demo song-writer singer, she has done pretty well for herself, sold a few records etc.

Look up the word \"classic\" in the dictionary. This song will be the definition. I will NEVER tire of this song, and I first heard it about 34 years ago.
A truly wonderful album too.
