Oh! Let's go!

Steve walks warily down the street
With the brim pulled way down low.
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet,
Machine guns ready to go.

Are you ready, hey, are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you, too
Another one bites the dust

How do you think I'm going to get along
Without you when you're gone?
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own

Are you happy, are you satisfied?
How long can you stand the heat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat

[Chorus]

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust

There are plenty of ways that you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him, you can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him when he's down

But I'm ready, yes, I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating to the sound of the beat

[Chorus]

standard playlist material at every wedding reception in the English speaking world...
Just go with the bass line and dance - so much crap music at weddings, at least this one is dance-worthy!

One of the many great contributions by John Deacon. He was Queen's George Harrison.

Another one that should bite the dust. Some Queen is great, some not so much.

Agreed there are other queen songs that are much better and not so over played

I've heard the same thing about the BeeGees' "Stayin' Alive", which seems like a more apropos choice :-)

That would be amazing, unfortunately, both are too slow for proper CPR procedures. :(

Funny, and true!  One of my coworkers (at an Electric Utility with about 80% of us CPR trained) saved a life by using CPR and he said, in that moment, as he's busting the heart attack victim's ribs, he was FOR SURE keeping time to "Stayin' Alive."  And it worked!

I've never heard this at a wedding I've ever been to. I don't know what that means - do  I g o to shitty weddings or better ones?  I like this tune.

My guess is you leave before the "Fun" begins!!

I will always love that this song is the perfect tempo to perform CPR to.

And another gets on and another gets off,
Another one rides the bus!
LOL! My wife and I watched "Bohemian Rhapsody" just last night via Netflix DVD. Music brought back a lot of memories of an amazing period of time for music.
Sorry guys, I really can't stand this song.

This always sucked. I did however hear the Freddy Mercury movie was worth seeing
Sounds like a Sam Peckinpah movie.

Right?  And pretty soon maybe we'll be able to sing this one in a political fashion!  As for the song comment, I gotta say this is one of the most danceable tunes there can be...it's a 9+1 cuz my wife LOVES it...so it's a 10!  Long Live RP!!
fun song!  great memories from my youth!
Not their best, but I'll always listen to Queen.
Iconic bass line.
kind of awful and great at the same time.

Hey Bill. How do I get rid of the comments area? I'm tired of the political crap. Why can't people stick to comments about the music. After all it's a music site not Facebook !

I thought Freddie was a superlative showman.  Sadly missed.  We won't see his like again, I fear.

Solid 8 for me.

At the engineering university I attended this song would be blaring from the dorm halls as us wee freshmen headed out to our first Chemistry 101 exam - the first big "weeder" exam for the biggest freshmen "weeder" class.  Hearing it a couple decades later still brings back memories of that cold grey fall day trudging off through the drizzling rain to find out if I had any future as an engineer. I stepped out onto campus with the sounds of "Another One Bites The Dust" fading behind me only to be presented with some joker playing "Taps" from nearby hill. I couldn't help but laugh.
I just watched Bohemian Rhapsody last night and it does give you the chills when you first hear this baseline... even though you know exactly what's going on in the movie. .. but it took me back to when I first heard this at all... live in concert, stage was completely dark and all you could hear was that bass echoing off the walls like a cathedral... four to six months before it was ever released as a single and became waaaaay over played . . but certainly glad to hear it here...👏

It's interesting to see Bill & Rebecca going back thru this catalog and seeing what they come up with.

I'd rather hear this than most queen, they play 39 sometimes, but Keep Yourself Alive used to get some plays too. That one or Tie Your Mother Down are good for clearing the cobwebs...

I'd love to hear this followed by Weird Al's "Another One Rides The Bus".  That would be a fun segue...

Never thought RP would stoop so low as to play this turd, PSD time!
Guilty pleasure....
