Quem é homem de bem não trai
O amor que lhe quer seu bem
Quem diz muito que vai, não vai
Assim como não vai, não vem
Quem de dentro de si não sai
Vai morrer sem amar ninguém
O dinheiro de quem não dá
É o trabalho de quem não tem
Capoeira que é bom não cai
Mas se um dia ele cai, cai bem
Capoeira que é bom não cai
Mas se um dia ele cai, cai bem
Quem é homem de bem não trai
O amor que lhe quer seu bem
Quem diz muito que vai, não vai
Assim como não vai, não vem
Quem de dentro de si não sai
Vai morrer sem amar ninguém
O dinheiro de quem não dá
É o trabalho de quem não tem
Capoeira que é bom não cai
Mas se um dia ele cai, cai bem
Capoeira que é bom não cai
Mas se um dia ele cai, cai bem
Capoeira me mandou dizer que já chegou
Chegou para lutar
Berimbau me confirmou, vai ter briga de amor

The idea appeals to me, but the practical application leaves something to be desired.  Feels rather disjointed, I'm afraid...
Saw Cut Chemist perform at the Apple Store London, they were mixing audio and video live, top skills and great experience!
Cut Chemist graduated from UCLA.  Anyone know what his degree was in?  BSEE?
Mmm... Genres state Hip hop and turntablism ...  I guess you can play one?  Maybe I prefer Radio ParadisISM

Love it.  Easy groove, punctuated with what, a ukelele?  Whatever stringed instrument it is, nice soulful strum.  First listen and I love it.

Hey thanks!  I wasn't too far off thinking it was Astrud's daughter Bebel!

I was thinking it reminded me of Bebel Gilberto reworked by Thievery Corp, or....?  {#Stupid}

This is the first I've heard it!  I think I like it, will have to give it a couple more listen-to's.  Starting with a 7.

The singer is Astrud Gilberto.

Very catchy portoghesi tune...ciao!

You must be one hell of a site, last time I checked I have only 2 thumbs and as I'm listening to this I don't know which way to point them yet.

not familiar at all with Cut Chemist, but i like this song.
I'll open with a 7.
I'd rate this a 7 or 8 if it didn't have those sampled "rap style" music noises mixed in.
nice violins
Nice tune.  Solid eight from me, if that means anything!!

Seamless segue from TC!.
As a true fan of Astruid G. for years - I found this to be a Hack JOB Sorry - didn't like the way she came through.   {#Iamwithstupid}

You have some DJ Shadow too?

I know it is asking too much, but how about some Jurassic 5?  For those of yall who dont ' get it' this is a DJ, and do not compare a DJ to an artist who plays instruments, because they are not.  Instead think of them as the producers.  They are visionaries that see how much will sound wonderful mixed together.  Much respect to people who can do this well.

I am uploading a Jurassic 5 tune as we speak. Won't make it through the filter to the LRC though.

Do not compare a DJ to an artist who plays instruments, because they don't play instruments (some might play the instruments they are recording, but then they would be the artist too).  Instead think of them as the producers.  They are visionaries that see how different sounds will sound wonderful mixed together.  Much respect to people who can do this well.

Contemporary musical commentary.
Pretty Bad.

WTF? This track has the most annoying beginning in the history of time. I thought my speakers were broken. Thankfully it segues into something tolerable with the female voice ... then back to the broken ukelele. Final verdict: 2.

"Hip-Hop" crossover. It's called "scratching". I'm not totally against HH/Rap influence in recent music, but I just think these folks aren't doing it well.

Well, this is kinda irritating. Sounds like the audio is broken up...and these two styles don't compliment each other at all.

There is a reason the artist is "cut chemist"...

Whoa!
Cool transition from that new Thievery Corp. track!!

Speakers are still turned up and I'm still bouncin' in my chair.

{#Drummer} Like this sound...

and {#Lol} (in a good way) to some of the prior comments.  *snorts*

I likey.
Whoah, thought  I heard Astrud G in there, and checked the Amazon info page and they mention her...
Makes me wanna dig out that old gem, a cassette of her and Joao doing all those great samba grooves, many with Stan Getz...hoh!, happier times, when I last listened to that stuff...
Thanks for the inspiration!

I like it.  Turn it up really loud and it works great...

{#Dancingbanana}
