Yes, both songs are basically using 3-2 Clave patterns as did "Hey Bo Diddley", "Willie & The Hand Jive", and many other tunes.  It's from an Afro-Cuban rhythm style that's over 100 years-old.
I gave it a 4 initially, but it keeps dragging on and on, and now there's an a capella section at the end. Dropped it to a 2.
