Really a sobering article. It's impossible to understand how Trump's destruction of America is still seen by some as laudable (see the video in a different forum of MAGAs marching like lemmings to YMCA).
—-FTA:
Nick Levendofsky, the executive director of the Kansas Farmers Union, has been lobbying to preserve the food programs, but when he speaks publicly he often gets responses from people saying farmersâ troubles are their own fault.
âTrumpâs tariffs badly injured Kansas farmers in his first term, and your members were stupid enough to vote for him again in 2020 and 2024,â read one letter he received from a descendant of Kansas farmers living in Florida. âEvery farm bankruptcy that comes â and come they will â will be a direct consequence of your members voting for the guy who already hurt them once.â
âOne of the saddest lessons of history is this: If weâve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. Weâre no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. Itâs simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that weâve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.â
This is such an incredibly sad story, which is unimaginably going to happen more frequently without the necessary funding at NOAA...
We'll need more (not less) help from FEMA...
All made worse by the loss of regional healthcare across the US due to the bill signed yesterday...
It would be easy to point to the "elections have consequences" folks and remind them that the states most in need of these services going forward are deep Red, but that's just not an acceptable outcome when you're talking about dozens of 8 and 9 year old girls at a summer camp. They needed more protection, and we all let them down.
I don't do it with any of you unless it is in a direct response to being trolled by one of you.
Try putting your thoughts out directed at no one as I do.
Might go a long way to encouraging an actual discussion. But truth be told, no one really wants, especially you.
So the next time someone invokes my name as was just done by dave I will respond with a : fuck you ____ . Go ask Alice instead of me ...
Sorry fantasy land barbie, you are the one who started throwing out names here. Then you got all huffy when a couple people pointed out that a) you were wrong (again), and b) Your argument was completely misguided. We weren't trying to have a discussion with you, we were trying to point out and counter your constant misinformation. Try putting out facts instead things you simply wish to be true.
We all know how you feel. Most of us don't really care anymore. But we will point (and laugh) when you put nonsense out for everyone to review.
Wait, so you are bitching at D for calling out the lie that trump said there is $1.99 gas, when in fact, gas costs more than $1.99. You then go on gas buddy to find a data point to back up your claim, but you can't. So you just say "it must be there somewhere". And now D is the asshole somehow? Then, as usual, it's on to poor me and a claim of you being attacked, when that hasn't happened. Sorry your coffee tastes bad, but now you understand the bitter pill that a lot of others are going to have to choke down.
Maybe you all can simply quit asking me personally how I feel about things with the sole purpose of trolling.

How do you rationalize continuing to support him? Why should anyone believe anything the man says?
I await your avoidance.
