Given all that's happened since, I'm starting to wonder if The Cubs' World Series victory was a sign of the apocalypse...

ESPN
7-inning doubleheaders, it would solve  a lot of problems re: contracts, eligibility, and my MLB.tv subscription. That is, all the money would change hands as though it were a normal season. If they cancel the season, all hell breaks loose. The Giants might get Madison Bumgarner back. Would contracts signed with 2020 being the only consideration still be valid? Or would they reset to where they were at the end of last season?

I don't think there are any details about it yet; only stuff that's like a week old.  This was the last thing I saw about it - you probably already read it.   https://www.mlb.com/news/chris-sale-tommy-john-surgery

The New York Times weighs in about this:

There’s a Pandemic. Is This a Time for Tommy John Surgery?

I should try not to be so negative.  On the bright side we're not going to have to go to London to play them as originally planned.

And it's just not right that thread is not on the RAFT in April.

I wish they would release the report on the SOX so we would have something to bitch about on talk radio until opening day on the 4th of July.

From what they've let trickle out thats it's not going to be anywhere as bad as the Astro's involvement.

Without missing a beat Jim Deshaies chimed in "Man, I sure wish we had that back when Yogi was managing".

How are you doing, Dave?

Great to have baseball back. Hoping Manny plays tonight.

I checked this out at NESN's website but the first thing that caught my eye was that Chris Sale is going to have Tommy John surgery. If you're a Boston sports fan, re-runs of the glory years is looking like the only happy entertainment in town.  This pandemic might provide a silver lining after all...

Yah, Betts, Brady, now Sale. Hasn’t been a great month to say the least .
