I love RP and support RP.  But I have a wish, not a complaint, though it might come off as a complaint.

On the browser player, I like the 'i'nfo screen, I like to see the album cover, son/artist/album/released information, and the wikipedia page / comments.  While I'm working, I can glance over and say "hey, I like that! Who is it!".

Unfortunately, if I pause and leave my desk for any significant period of time, when I come back  the screen has reverted to the 'home' screen which only has song/artist and some controls.  If I want to go back to the 'info' screen, I have to navigate over and press the little 'i' button at the bottom of the screen.  I find myself searching for the little 'i' button too many times in one day.

I know, first world problems and all.   I just wish the screen I was on would stick.   I recognize it's so the RP team can ensure people are up to date with what's going on but because of the size of my screen, that news isn't even on the screen just the silhouette of someone clamping the headphones on their head.

Apologies if there's a really easy way to do what I want that I'm not seeing.

Battery optimization —-> scroll through all apps 
—> RP —> toggle optimize to "Don't optimize" 
(was set to optimize)
Rebooted phone

Tried to play RP (already set to Global) ... nope.  Play icon went green, then stopped, no audio.
Switched to a different stream (Rock), hit play, it works
Switch back to Global, it plays
Try to cast - same as before - *bink* from my cast receiver device, and play stops on the phone
App switched itself back to Rock
Now in the app, I can't switch streams, and can't play at all.

In the casting icon in the app it seems to be casting as when I bring it up, there's  "Stop casting" on the screen.  
I have more than one Chromecast device that I can cast to.  I don't have any problems with casting anything, with the exception of casting from the RP app of late.  And now lately, even getting the app to play on its own is hit or miss.

All of the behaviour described above is identical to how it was behaving yesterday.  So no discernable change after switching off battery optimization.

Within the app, if I click cast, I can pick the cast destination and it casts, but says "no media selected".  I can cast to all rooms (devices). Can't get the app to play either, with casting already running.

Cast devices are 2x Chromecast Audio only,  and 2 x  Google TV /Chromecast.
Power cycling the Chromecast audio device I'm trying to cast to made no difference.

For current versions of Android it's     apps -> rp  ->  battery ->  then set to unrestricted and reboot.
In 11 I think  tended to be a list of optimized apps.

For Chromecast,  it  should work work on Chromecast audio.    
All you can really do is power cycle your chromecast  phone and router and try again.

Hey William & app devs ...

RP Android app weirdness of late.

Start playback - stops immediately
Change stream, now plays for a few seconds, then stops
Currently doesn't want to play at all

When it was acting up the other day, I deleted its cache, and all downloaded offline cache - no difference.  Uninstalled, then reinstalled app, then it was working fine again.

Now, here today, same situation - doesn't want to play.

Cleared cache again.  Loads of GBs of storage space available.
App ver 4.6.5.gp 

And when I do get it to play, like right now, I cast it to a now discontinued Google Chromecast Audio (only) device, I hear the *bink* from the device confirming a connect,  and app stops playing.

Try to select a diff stream, won't change, app remains silent, still on last stream played.

Data connection: rock solid full-strength WiFi
Android 11

(On my desktop, in Chrome, and using the RP website, I can successfully cast to the same Chromecast device, without issue)

Website is doing some really strange things this morning... It just reverted to playing part of the playlist that was played about a half hour ago.

The Android BluOS player interface jumps back several songs when using the thumb up or down.  I'm using the latest BluOS player (3.20.5 build 2725) and streaming through a NAD M10.  The interface will stay several songs behind for an extended period but will eventually catch up to be in sync with the song which is playing.  I'll report this to BluOS support as well.

Hello, I hope I am in the right topic for this. I can't seem to get Siri on my HomePods to play RP, if I request it "Hey Siri, Play Radio Paradise" I get "OK, here's paradise radio" or some other result with "paradise" in it's name.  At one point I thought I had it solved by adding "on tune in radio" at the end of my request, but that doesn't seem to work anymore. I can't possibly be the only person having this issue? I love Siri, but she's kind of dumb sometimes.

Music -> what's playing ->  select a channel  then  press the  play button in the bottom right.   That should put you in sync with the stream.
