Who can it be knocking at my door?
Go away, don't come 'round here no more
Can't you see that it's late at night?
I'm very tired and I'm not feeling right
All I wish is to be alone
Stay away, don't you invade my home
Best off if you hang outside
Don't come in, I'll only run and hide
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be knocking at my door?
Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor
If he hears, he'll knock all day
I'll be trapped and here I'll have to stay
I've done no harm, I keep to myself
There's nothing wrong with my state of mental health
I like it here with my childhood friend
Here they come, those feelings again
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Is it the men come to take me away?
Why do they follow me?
It's not the future that I can see
It's just my fantasy
Yeah
Oh, who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Who can it be now?
Go away, don't come 'round here no more

songs like this has what made me run screaming from commercial music radio and it’s SSDD
J'adore !
Oh, the memories!
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”

Colin Hay has become one of my favorite contemporary singer songwriters. He wrote a good handful of catchy pop tunes back in the day with Men At Work, but his more recent work has been very creative, introspective, and quite beautiful.
Overkill is my favorite song of theirs, but this is a close 2nd. Cracking tune.
Cool. Right after a cover song of Men At Work.
Songs and albums are, as one listener posted, our personal time machines. I just noted that this album came out in 1981, the year I married my wife. It was cassettes in those days, and we travelled in my one-and-only sports car, a 1980 Mazda RX7. (To remember our anniversary year I tell people that my car was an '80 and my wife was an '81) This cassette was part of our regular music rotation as we travelled from BC to Ontario (in Canada) for the wedding. Listening to this song flashed me back to that incredible trip.
PS - The car is long gone and I've moved on to other Aussie musical artists that I like much more than Men at Work.
BUT the trip back in time reminds me what a lucky man I was, and still am.
Thanks Bill

I was surprised to see the unusual rating distribution, then saw that there were only 10 ratings. This might be my first time being here for the first RP play.
Ist time this has been on RP - good tune from long ago.

Maybe we could get "Overkill" back in rotation? Haven't heard it on here since around 2019.
I always enjoy Men At Work's lesser known hits.
