Maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this
And see what's behind
Got no way to prove it
So maybe I'm lying
But I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
Take a look in the mirror
And what do you see?
Do you see it clearer
Or are you deceived
In what you believe?
'Cause I'm only human after all,
You're only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
Don't ask my opinion,
Don't ask me to lie
Then beg for forgiveness
For making you cry,
For making you cry
'Cause I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me,
Don't put the blame on me
Some people got the real problems
Some people out of luck
Some people think I can solve them
Lord heavens above
I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
I'm only human, I make mistakes
I'm only human that's all it takes
To put the blame on me
Don't put the blame on me
'Cause I'm no prophet or messiah
You should go looking somewhere higher
I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put the blame on me,
Don't put the blame on me
I'm only human, I do what I can
I'm just a man, I do what I can
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me
Nay...
Yay...
Dear idiots - fuck off. Your interpretation of this song is just that. You think someone is talking about something you know nothing about. Again fuck off. Take that ignorant fucking head and stick it right up your ass. Yeah you tinypriest… insecure smooth brains
This is RP, not anti-social media. Keep it civil, please.
This guy sure has soul but I wish other songs would get airtime as this one is a bit cliched now.
Repulsive lack of personal responsibility.
We are all human.. So what. Stand up, be a man.
Take some Pepto, get dressed and get over here. ... I'm tired of this!
and now this doss tub sampling!
I WILL put the blame on yo fat head! back to billiards with ya.... fake ass nyuguh!
All behavior is behavior of choice. Time to own it big boy.
Word.
We are all human.. So what. Stand up, be a man.
he's like a male Adele
I like the way you've left this for each of us to interpret however we wish!
How is this fucking so controversial that you haters and idiots can’t understand he is talking about “some hero figure”…. Like John Lennon and the Beatles - Manson fucking blamed the song, or perhaps bring it down to people blaming video games for violent behavior.
Bullshit. Take the blame for what you do. Who is Rag'n'Bone Man to speak for John Lennon? Take the blame and give an answer, and don't whine.
There is a fine line between accepting blame and deflecting responsibility. I blame him either way.
"Free Will", what a concept...

Dang, that's harsh - but funny...
Uckfield, even. Less street you cannot be.
Yeah. He had a word with God and specifically requested the town where he was born.
I'm not sure that's the point of these lyrics, though. Doesn't appear to me to be trying to excuse his own mistake(s), but rather saying there's only so much he can do about things.
It seems that he is singing from the God's perspective. He [God] is the one that makes you cry, that he is the one that you put the blame on. And the line "Lord heavens above" comes from the first person view, so it fits well.
Changes the whole dynamic of the song. And what an excellent execution!.
Haha, yeah, that's he message!
I concur. To me it sounds like he is advising everyone to take responsibility for themselves and their actions, while recognizing his own limitations. A fine example of an ancient and practical philosophy.
uargh...
Ouch!

as a guess you must be in Iceland?
way off....Paradise California (i.e. where B&R "broadcast" from) is 700 miles south from me in the Seattle area. Sometimes it does feel like Iceland though....grey depressing fall/winter with limited snowfall. UGGG.
I agree. It reminds me a bit of that Hall & Oates song — what is it that can't you go for, specifically?
as a guess you must be in Iceland?
Long live RP!
It all stays the same,
Everyone guilty,
No one to blame"

some people around here slagging off other people whose interpretation of this, and other songs, does not align with their own, would do well to remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If a song means something to you, then that's what it means (to you). That's all. Peace people, please!
