Everybody in my friends circle owns this album. It was a huge hit in Belgium where Moby had some superb live acts on festivals like Pukkelpop and Werchter. This song rocks.

EXACTLY! I was getting really annoyed by the "WHOO!" also.... But hey, at least it's over now...
I generally like Moby, but this mix gives me a headache. That "WHOO!" after almost every line is like knowing the cat is killing a bird outside the window and waiting for the next excruciating scream of pain. I want it to stop, but I know it'd be useless to intervene...

I'm all for smart use of samples, but taking one soulful ten-second section and repeating it 50 times does not make a soulful song.
I don't care for Moby, except this CD. I love the samples. None of his other cds tho.
Two exceptional tracks on this album and this is one; the other is his version of Run On.
It seems Moby is going to be one of those artists at the mercy of music fashion unfortunately. Despite that this was an exceptional album at its release.

interesting how RP will play ersatz blues sampling by Moby and plodding Stevie Ray Vaughn ad nauseum yet ya never hear the likes of Johnny Winter out here nor do you ever hear any Elmore James etc...

That's simply not true. Plenty of blues artists get played on RP, but just not the ones you think are any good. Hell, following this number is John Lee Hooker - does he not count as blues?
If he'd just written Bam Bam Bam Bam, he could have gotten a gig on the Flintstones

Didn't Moby license everyone of the tunes on this CD to corporate commercials? Just a question, not saying the disc is bad or anything. I like what I've heard from it.
Most, if not all were licensed for commercials. As I recall, nobody would play the tracks until he'd licensed a good chunk of them for commercials.
I'm OK with that, if that's what it takes to get it heard. I'm less thrilled when established artists whore out their hit songs for some product..

I like songs that are more repetitious than this.
Good luck!
IIRC, this was the music to a pretty cool Nike ad with the now passe Tiger Woods.

I actually don't mind this, even though it sounds just as dumb as the rest of his work. (Yes, I know Moby is an innovative artist - he's just not my taste.)

I gave it a 9 and I don't care what anyone says, I like Moby. this is a brilliant fusion.

No probs Crocky, personal preference is fine. It's the vitriol we encounter that puzzles me.

A bit too repetitive for my taste. Not bad though.

What a great album - I think I may have to dig this one out when I get home tonight. Haven't played it in years (no pun intended).

First to rate it, baby! And first to give it an 8.
