Those of us brits old enough to have left school in the 1970s, that's who!
Middle of the night under the covers with a transistor radio and a mono earphone pretending to be asleep. We haven't forgotten what he did for music, and freedom of expression in this country. He still holds legendary status.
And you show your hand by even asking the question - because you haven't forgotten him either. Have you?

"Overlooked Happiness".
By far the best song title I know so far.

I'm surprised that people haven't figured out by now that RP does have some programmed blocks that are repeated. How much of RP is programmed is unknown to us mere mortals.
I had a friend who had a local FM radio station (commercial free and eclectic like RP). To run it 24/7 without a full staff of jocks was really hard (finding people willing to work for free under his high standards for pronunciation was probably a factor too). He relied on a fair amount of pre-recorded blocks timed down to the last second. This was in the late 80s/early 90s.
Here's the thing the people complaining that BillG is "repeating" himself don't get. BillG doesn't think in songs like us mere mortals, he thinks in 4 or 6 songs at once. If a transition is brilliant, is repeating it every now and then so bad? I would argue no.

Honest to God, I'm outside working on my bike listening to RP. The 'chirping' in this song sounds just like the Chimney Swifts circling overhead ..
I'm no musician, so I can't say what it is, but there's one chord in this piece that reveals he has worked with David Lynch...

zactly, but people will whine with or without a reason. Bill and Rebecca take vacation too, so I'm sure they pre-program days/weeks of songs.

This track is a 7, +1 because of the funny comments about BillG's segue mastery :-)

Well, it transitioned nicely from the last song. I guess
A really nice piece and a great title for it. It conveys a strong sense of regret.

Thank you Bill and Rebecca for continuing to wrinkle my grey matter.
I haven't been disappointed by any of his cds. Thanks for exposing RP to him. Please play more.
Should I give it another try?
The ending sounds like Zeppelin's No Quarter.
Love the tune.

Nice to hear this again.
It was recorded in several different cities around the world with several different vocalists. If you like this song, you will probably like the whole album; though many songs are different the overall quality of the cd is very good. Each song works even though each is unique. I suggested getting it, and if you like it, I also suggest Kate Havnevik's CD, which in my opinion is even betteramazing actually.

When Rap goes Klaus Schulze (cf. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Schulze)...?
Very post-modern sounding. I'm not in a very post-modern mood however.
Wow, do you think Brian Eno was perhaps some inspiration? Me thinks so.
Great album feature Kate Havnevik on several songs, who is a great new talent.

Almost Morcheeba-esque.. I quite like it, then again, I'm not sure...! I do like the lazy scratching tho - very Trip-hop.
The very beginning of the song sounds like the intro to "Running with the Devil" by Van Halen.
All the soul of a computer to my ears.
Whoa, I thought this was an Air track I hadn't heard before....
Funky!

John Peel was a visionary when it came to new and 'different' music. Nobody like him before or since - and yes, guilty as charged on the radio and mono earphones
